Yeah that's what VTTS was paying for XH558

About half to a third of what it costs the USAF per hour on a B1 (understandably when you consider what they do with them)

Poland treats me like shit and I hate them as a result of it

Eurofighter still the ugliest thing around.

I just found out the Thunderbirds will be at our air show this year so... I guess I have to go again.

Love how americans "historize" literally anything while the old world would rather keep most of theirs 6 feet under.

That'd be more dignified if the old world actually had any sort of generational connection to the edifices that make their areas famous or a budget to maintain them.

Actually one turned 18 in '44 was on the Eastern Front and got taken prisoner in the first battle. He then got to 'enjoy' Russian hospitality for five years in Ulyanovsk.
The other one was with the navy in the Med, once his torpedo boat got sunk he served as naval infantry and got captured by the British. He fled from their POW camp. His brother served under Skorzeny, that's the one that pissed all over the place.

When the only remaining culture is consumerism it's not really surprising Americans love anything that connects them to something else. Even if the irony is they are sold their history in neat little packages to be easily consumed with the hardest truths absent.
