Suspect is a former JSDF guy, said he was "disappointed" with Abe's job performance.

Are we going back to the 20s with assassinating Japanese leaders for not being imperialist enough?

    "Uns Uwe" Seeler died yesterday.

Appointed to be the 2nd honorary team captain (after Fritz Walter) of the German national soccer team, he enjoyed tremendous popularity due to him being a truly fair player during his active career and an overall humbled, down to earth guy. Though he wasn't short on lucrative international offers, he refused all of them and played in the Bundesliga (HSV - Hamburger Sportverein) until he retired from professional soccer.

    RIP David Warner.

To me, you'll always be Sark from TRON.

To badly paraphrase a scene from Tron 2, "I have a little plastic figure of you at home".

Yep he was movie version of Admiral Tolwyn and was two different characters in Star Trek V and VI.

He was also the Cardassian who interrogated Picard in Chain of Command.

He was born in 1941, after anglo-american definition is part of The Silent Generation, but in Germany is part of the generation who lifted us from rubbles, The Greatest.
Back to topic, his movies made at Hollywood in 90' ( In the Line of Fire, Outbreak, Air Force One, The Perfect Storm) had coherent story line, slow build-up of action, a very different director style.
