Back to Rice, I never read her stuff but I like the Interview with the Vampire movie. It has Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Kirsten Dunst in it if you've never seen it. Oh, and Antonio Banderas too!

Watched it not too long ago. Doesnt quite hold up but still entertaining and engaging. Isnt that also a series (the books)?.
Yes! The series is basically the backbone of the modern vampire tropes, starting from White Wolf's Vampire the Masquerade all the way to True Blood and the likes. The books are a bit aged (there's a lot of level upping), but still very interesting.
There's also a second movie, Queen of the Damned. It no longer has Brad Pitt as Lestat, but Aaliyah as the Queen of the Damned.

Was tripping on acid in New Orleans in the early '90s. The local goth friends of ours led us on a pilgrimage to Anne Rice's house, so we could stare at her balcony like a bunch of stalkers at 3 AM.
My mom gave me a copy on Interview as a kid (maybe 10?) and recommended it to me, which is a bit odd, with some of the subject matter.
