no, Interplay tried to launch a fallout MMO title, only Bethesda bought the rights for that along with the fallout IP and had plans to do one eventually, so they sued the pants off Interplay.

it's probably the intended developers of that MMO getting relaunched under Black Isle's name, despite having fuck all to do with black isle.

    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

mostly because a post-apocalyptic MMO is pretty fucking hard to get working, and the only thing on the "market" is so shite it scares little childern.

Fallout NV is much closer to a real successor to the series, not least because it was made by a team with several ex-Black Isle developers. The storylines and characters in the game are so much better than Fallout 3.
