Move Jump Bridges to Planets, etc

First off, this isn't a troll. I know I'll get a lot of hate for this idea but hear me out.

Jump bridges should be moved off POSes, placed at the planet, and made into a warpable bracket like Stargates. They still have the same permissions etc, but everybody would be able to easily warp to them and they wouldn't automatically benefit from deathstar perma-defense.

Make them reinforce-able and destroyable like POCOs.

This would help out small gangs quite a bit by giving them access to disrupt hostile transportation, and wouldn't really effect the functionality of the Jump Bridge itself (except that you'd have to actually defend your space :V )

It also would help invading forces lock down speedy enemy routes into the fray.

Don't think they need to get moved from poses. Visible on the overview and map however would be nice.

If they were reinforcable by anything halfway decent and unusable while RF'd jump bridges would immediately become hilariously useless. Would need some balance so at least some effort was needed to shut them down.

Allow anchoring of a limited number of defensive guns and modules as well
I tried to be cool and all I got was a lousy warning about my sig being too big.

Not sure if RFing them should shut them off or not. But I think removing the static defence aspect is one of the biggest changes needed. They are literally hubs for ships to come through from many jumps away, they shouldn't be that hard to defend.

So then increase the fittings (specifically, power grid) on the Jump Bridge POS structures then? Seems like a CCP Proof way of doing it as well. (in before Logistics warp speed).

Move them to planets, make them have an RF cycle that doesn't shut them off, no guns anchorable and a small gang working on them for an hour would put them into RF(4m or so shield EHP I think?). It basically becomes another conflict driver for small 0.0 alliances to try and piss in larger alliance's Cheerios.

Personally, i do like them to be at POSs and no more than 1 anchorable per system, but strangely enough i always envisioned Jump Bridges to be VERY large anchorable arrays, so fitting one on a large tower would gimp it so much that the rest of the fitting space would be useless ....(not much room for tank or guns) while at the same time making them "sabotage-able" by being placed outside the bubble would be nice.

So basically make them cost as much CPU/Grid as CSAAs, maybe more?

is that too much? or maybe just leave current fittings as is and put the bridge array outside the bubble and im happy.

JB's already outside the Forcefield, and there is a minimum anchoring distance from it. Not sure on exact number, but fairly sure it's around 10km from forcefield?

Same as everything else that is anchored outside the forcefield.

I concur with the op. However id add the ability to hack jumpgates so people can hijack other peoples gate networks. Obviously the owners should be alerted of hacking thats in progress/complete to drive more combat.

More hacking/archaeology-related warfare? In my Eve? Fuck yes!

Not biased on account of Hacking V/Archaeology V. Not at all.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those Thukkers, that way I wouldn't have to have any goddamn stupid useless conversations with anybody.

Only hackable when reinforced. If hackable; need to be capable of being passively defended (I.E. can defend it with guns, etc...). Needs to be reversible with a character that has the proper skills.

Would be "awesome" to be able to select an option where the JB faults, and anyone that is using that network gets dumped in wormhole space. Just to be nice, put them all in the same system. Especially since :EDIT: I said something unintelligent here. :EDIT:

You know titans can't use jump bridges anymore, right?
