Re jobhunt: I think I'm in that awkward zone where the well-paying jobs don't want me because I lack experience, and the not-so-well paying jobs don't want me because I'm overqualified and they're afraid I'll run off.
So I've decided I'm pulling out all the friggin stops. Picking up cheap certification courses online, attaching letters of reference to my CV, etc. Fuck this job market, I'mma break through with BRUTE FORCE.

I think I shall go build an ark. Seems necessary with the amount of water that has been coming down and is, as a matter of fact, coming down now. It resembles a monsoon. This is a shame as I need to drive through it to the office in Amsterdam soon. Yuck. Coupled with the fact that many people lose their pitiful amount of braincells when they drive a car and see rain.. oi. (Dartzap, same thing applies. I don't use the car when going into work but PT? Ooook, so - heres how it went -
Picked her up at 8:45, she looked good and we headed out. I suggested Milestones, which is a p nice restaurant not a million miles away where i figured we could both have drinks and see how it goes. She'd already eaten. Despite me saying we go for food - so I had not, at all. Fair enough, she suggests this ice cream place down on the waterfront. Thats fine, whatever, so we head down there. Park up, walk to ice cream place, buy her an ice cream. Now, its still like 20+c here, at just past 8pm. Ice cream melts, fast. let alone the 10+ knot wind we're getting off the water, so ice cream droplets are flying like cum in a fucking facial compilation. Thats fine. I'll deal, because hey, pretty girl, right?
We sit on a bench overlooking the lake and are talking, meanwhile ice cream cum is everywhere and I'm struggling. All the while she's pretty whimsical, she doesn't really decide on things and she seemingly doesn't do anything other than work, and sleep. Great. Then a girl I know from the flight school sees me, comes up, says hi, so the train wreck is now documented.
After the ice cream massacre, we wind up walking back towards the car. I'm thinking "well, its early, so we must do something else" - Apparently not, apparently shes 'Tired' and thus I wind up driving her back to her house, where an awkward hug is manufactured and she heads in leaving me with a "I'll see you around"
Now, not once did I say anything bad, the conversation wasn't forced (although it wasn't as fluid as I'd have liked) and really, it could have gone much worse. The whole ordeal lasted maybe an hour and fifteen minutes. For a date.
Fuck that. I head to my local bar where her friend happens to be working, so I spoke to her a bit and she goes on to say she asked E if she was interested. She said "Not really"
Now, I don't mind being rejected. I'm having a pretty good time here anyway and meeting some nice people, so, if you're not interested, don't cancel a date than organize another one for 5 days later, like she did. I really do not get it - Why bother going on a date if you're not remotely interested in the person? I wasn't head over heels for this girl, but we had kissed the week before and I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and see how it went. Apparently she wasn't really prepared to do that but wouldn't give me the bullet beforehand!
Unbelievable. Wound up having a decent night at the bar instead. No big deal, life goes on, but come on girls, give us a fucking clue.
