I went in to the workshop this morning because the cunts have fucked the compressor. Again.
Behind where I was working is a pilot light for one of the manual brazing jigs. I got too close and
the bottom of my jacket caught fire which I couldn't feel. Then my arse caught fire, which I did feel.
It's made a hole and now I can feel fresh air on my left cheek.

Dart, I can take public transportation, but it would take much longer ((not) connecting trains, bla). Also, the company provides me with a lease car. I will not get reimbursed for using public transportation unless I can prove it was actually cheaper than the parking costs (2,60 euros, so no go there).

This proposal was important, but we have competition so no guarantees. Not important enough for heli. It made me giggle, though.

tell me something. I'm trying to find a place in the Netherlands hardest-to-find-a-room city. So far I've applied to dozens of places, got two reactions and been invited to an interview once.
if only the Uni decided they wanted me more then two weeks ago I would have been fine, now it is a case of hoping and keeping at it.

I guess that means Amsterdam? This is a bad time for finding a new room unless it's a sublet (and even then). If you have a 'network' in the Netherlands employ it and employ it hard.

Haha, we do eat pancakes with 'stroop' - but maple syrup is patently not a dutch thing. No dutch person would eat a pancake with bacon AND stroop/syrup As for the cookies, dem double chocolate cookies are more American than anything else. I can be persuaded to hand out recipes for dutch cookies, though! (I hope you got some speculaas & stroopwafel stuff)

Edit: apparently bacon and stroop do go together. In my own defense, I never eat pancakes (allergic to eggs). But.. we don't eat it every day :-)
