Went out last night and was having a really good time.

Up until the point some random scum punched me in the face when I wasn't even looking at him and has probably broken my nose and I then got to spend 4 and a half hours waiting to see a doctor for him to literally just say come back in 5 days.

Best night ever, get to have a day of loads of swelling and a left eye that won't stay open properly.

Ended up in Taunton yesterday. Somersetians have lost their cider drinking abilities. Apparently drinking Cornish rattler will 'fuck you up' these people evidently have never tried Old Rosie. Also, Taunton has all the soul of a decaying sloth corpse. Made me appreciate Torquay, something I thought I would never say.

Old Rosie is good but it sticks to your teeth after a couple of pints, prefer Katy myself, most pubs seem to think it's okay to stock pear and berry ciders instead, which I suppose would be understandable if it were rekorderlig etc but stocking 3 flavours of bulmers does not give you leave to write "wide selection of ciders" on the sign outside.

Not that hard to sort out. Yes it says FF3 on the ROM, but that actually means you get a) uncensored sprites and b) the proper text translations.

Just stick that zip on your phone and find a SNES emulator for your phone if you want to do it that way.

I usually drink 8.2% Weston's Vintage but i was put on my ass by Rattler because i assumed the stuff i was drinking was no more than 6% so was happily putting away pints. Turns out it was 9%. I blacked out.

I know for sure that I couldn't do it, because I can't even kill a bug. On another note it is illegal in my country to hunt with a bow.

And it's not a european thing, more of an asian thing. South Korea in particular. It's actually a school subject there. And afaik professional south korean archers are one of the very few who can do a decent living just by doing their sport. An olympic gold medalist in South Korea gets an immediate monthly pension of roughly 3k €.

The professional scene is very small. Outside of Korea, there's only a bunch of people who do it for a living. The US have a small professional staff (not more than maybe 20 people max). The US dominate the compund scene, while they have some strong contenders in the recurve division as well (the most famous at the moment is a guy named Brady Allison).

Oh, and Bhutan has a professional staff as well. It's a national sport there.

A strong european archery nation is Italy.

I've read an interesting article about professional sportsmen in my country (Germany) and their income derived from their sport. Archery was last place (with something like 500 € per month).
