How are you getting it off? Wallpaper steamer helps to get it off a treat, softens the adhesive then you can just scrape it off.

Hammer + Wallpaper scraper, or a chisel for the tough bits.

Jesus christ, this is the first tv-show apart from GoT that I actually look forward to each week

    Lilyhammer

It really is outstanding, Steven van Zandt is hilarious

EDIT: bonus points for a review from http://christwire.org/2012/03/lillyh...ialist-norway/

Screwfix do a similar one if you have one nearby, I would certainly try the steamer out though as I would imagine if you are having to use a bolster chisel and hammer to get some of the adhesive off then that scraper alone would struggle on the tough bits. (one Rans recommended looks like the whole end is the blade where as the Wickes/Screwfix have replaceable blades that probably aren't as good.)

i just pointed out a random one, he's unlikely to need more than one and the steamer usually doesn't really help with floor adhesive tbh

Yeah, this adhesive is quite tough stuff. It was used for cementing down big tiles (about an inch thick) but the retard who I bought the house off had put them in without checking if kitchen appliances would still fit under the counters (I probably should have thought it a bit odd they had under counter space for washing machine and dishwasher but had chosen put them along the blank wall by the door instead).

Also wouldn't a wallpaper scraper cost me like £50 or so? Doesn't seem worth it when a bit of hard work will get it off.

Steamers start from about £20 so worth it if you are likely to need it around the house for other jobs but probably not if its just for the floor.

Alas, the only room that had wallpaper was the lounge and we stripped and repainted that last month.

"LillyHammer is only available in Norway and on the movie website Netflix. It is not yet aired on American television in America.

Anyone know of an easy way to record from a flash-based live stream? I want to watch the cycling tonight but it doesn't start till 1am and I don't feel like staying up all night to do it.

Steamer will not work on floor adhesive...and if it was proper floor tile, it is most likely thinset. Best bet is to chisel away and skim the floor with a leveler.

Told my boss yesterday I'm leaving after 5 years. I decided to stop pursuing my college degree (CS), pack all my stuff in a rental car, move to the west coast, find an apartment, and then find a job a small startup around there. I have no idea where I'm going to be living in 2 weeks though and it is kinda scarey. :3

My luggage finally caught up with me! I now have more than two pairs of socks and underwear! Also, laundry dudes out here are fuckwits, this morning none of my laundry came back on time for me to go on shift so I had to go downstairs into the bowels of the barge (laundry room is in the machinery space below deck) and search through the driers to find my clothes. Seriously, I drop it off at 2:00 and they can't manage to get it back before 11:30? Also, I think one of the American welders might have brought some hash out with him from his little vacation in Natal. Must investigate

This afternoon I will be learning how to hand crank the engine. Slightly nervous over this.

    "Break a leg"!

Edit: Also, shouldn't it be "Swing the prop"? You hand crank a model T Ford, not a Cessna...
