The extra also states that producers want to create an anime adaptation of Nekomonogatari (Black), the last title of the Monogatari novel series's "first season," into a still-undecided format, then adapt the six works that make up the "second season" of the Monogatari series that span from Nekomonogatari (White) to Koimonogatari as a 26-episode TV series. The "third season" of Monogatari novels, Tsukimonogatari, Owarimonogatari, and Zokuowarimonogatari, will be released this year.

Well, Baccano possibly with its gangster stuff, but its 20s/30s ish mafia stuff, not scifi ;DGhost in the Shell (all of it)

He's seen the grand total of one animes, it makes more sense to broaden out to see what else he likes.

Although if you're not too terribly affixed on the bounty hunters in space with a strong jazz soundstage sorta notion, and liked the VIBE of the show, you could give Sakamichi no Apollon a spin. The anime by the talent behind Bebop, the first ep aired today and was quite good.
I'll chime in an agreement with Kranst. Break out, watch a second show of a different genre and see what you think. Once you've watched more than a single solitary program it's much easier to nail tastes down and give advice. Hell, watch the first few eps of five different shows and see what sticks. Worst case scenario you'll be more likely to get some valid suggestions.
