I liked the concept of the show... but it seemed highly lacking on content. Beyond, you know, a few paragraphs and a whole slew of foreshadowing. Giving it another episode or two to actually add a few paragraphs of dialog.

Because sometimes... MC's in eroge's really are just that stupid.

    for realz... and stuff.

Picture highly relevant to the other one... I think Amagami SS picked the right haremette to start with though ^^ (or the stalker, le'sigh)

Also, as I work through the backlog o' anime that came out while delving through KS...

As if anyone actually read your blog?

But it was your blog post that inspired me to download it and give it a watch. Not a massive fan of toilet humor, but mostly enjoyed the first two eps, and it's hard to go wrong with a 13min show. vOV

    Anyone else watching Thermae Romae?

It might be flash animation but it's pretty entertaining filler, like a snack to break up the larger shows.

    SAME!

I haven't watched the 2nd ep... but the first definitely had the oddest premise for an anime I've seen this season.

It's a promo for a live-action film and I think it's only getting a few episodes. Fun while it lasts though.

    :good taste:

also, Bakemonogatari... beautiful animation, distinct style, kind of boring story :/ (through 5 episodes, i have hope it'll get better)

I seem to remember Kanbaru's arc (the third? I think) being pretty good. I haven't rewatched it since the BDs came out but the fights were hilariously gory even on the TV version. Episode 12 is a great ending to the series, except it's not the ending and there's a couple more afterwards, because nobody remembered to tell SHAFT seasons are only 12 episodes long.

Bakemonogatari is unique in it's visual style, I find it breathtaking personally but not everyone is turned on by the ultra-clean modern look. It would be a better show if it lived up to the very first introductory crawl where we see Araragi and Oshino and vampire-tan doing awesome gorey things. After that though it's entirely one part action to nine parts dialogue. I guess it's p. good dialogue, but they could have done with a bit more balance.

When the series was first released though it was horrifically over budget, so much so that in later episodes there were entire scenes that got replaced with cards that just said "action" on them. Guess all that high falutin' design came at a cost.
