    [Saturday] Olympics, it is.

Stuff seems to be going without bigger blurps so far.

So, it is a day with telly and food for me. What do you intend to do today?

Play Eve & do other things while everyone's distracted by the Olympics. Utterly flawless plan.

Should be glad it was shortened by 30 minutes, should only have 15 minutes left now.

I didn't know until today it's officially called "kingdom" of Bhutan. I always knew it as just Bhutan. Nice enough place to visit, cheap liquor (or used to be, dunno now)

Bhutan was the only country in the world to possess no telephones until 1980. That's the only thing I know about it, not even sure if it's true.

I think they measure Bhutans success as a nation in gross domestic happiness or something, insteaad of GDP.

That ceremony left me even more confused about what it is to be British than I was before. Somewhere between the dancing Victorians summoning chimneys, sick children being saved from blackface minstrels by Mary Poppins & Emeli Sande singing a funeral hymn while people danced under a ball, I lost the plot. The torch bit was cool, though.

No, that's their entertainment if they win. It's a form of encouragement.
