Killmails for self destructs if aggroed, good.

    The loot change, meh.
Makes sense in a RP way and was a legit tactic imho.
Removing insurance for Self destructs, yeah sure.

Also, I still think self destructing should deal splash damage with range/dmg proportional to sig radius.

If these changes go through as is then imo there is no reason to have a timer at all, or just make it long enough to change your mind. It will serve no function outside of WH space where you can actually get stuck as the premise of self-destruct (scuttling) will no longer exist.

As I posted in that thread, my preference is to remove insurance for SD and go back to destroying all the mods. That way the player is choosing between something for them as well as something for the people killing them or nothing for anyone.

But then you can't get your 200mil if you find unpiloted caps in a WH you can't it them out of.

IMO self destruct should void insurance, destroy all mods and generate a killmail if aggroed. I don't really care about knowing if it was SD or not as long as the user still has a lossmail. They can still eject if they don't want it on their KB as a loss.

So basically I like what they are doing except for the loot drop changes. Don't get me wrong I hate to be denied loot but it's a valid tactic.

Unless I'm mistaken it'll still generate a kill report as you'll be the last pilot who flew it. This is certainly already the case for empty ships in a POS.

I'm saying it should be, not it is.

Probably won't get such features until POS are redone, which won't be until nullsec is redone & using POCO code.

That easily means 20 more cap kills per month for us.

Oh my bad. Do you think they should change this?

\o/ Now if only there was some way to go through and generate killmails retroactively for this...

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those Thukkers, that way I wouldn't have to have any goddamn stupid useless conversations with anybody.
