Ok, do this:
1. Go to your ArmA2:OA folder, and rename the arma2oa.exe to something else, eg. arma2oa-nobeta.exe
2. Go into Expansion\Beta and copy arma2oa.exe from that location back out to the main folder
3. Edit your desktop shortcut that you use to launch DayZ so that it says this in the target field:

So the weapon damages are totally fucked in this new version of ARMA II. If you didn't know, pretty much everything was significantly nerfed meaning all targets require more shots to bring down. For example, revolvers and 1911s used to be one shot kills on zeds, now it takes 4 shots. Four bloody shots from a .45 to bring down a zed! Pretty much all sidearms are pointless in practice now, especially against other survivors. Of course, most long range rifles seem to be unaffected so snipers will be even more dominant and desirable then they were before.
These changes are simply ridiculous and I suggest the server go back to the previous version of ARMA II in order to circumvent them.
