I see some communists here thinking that people should not make up their own mind, we'll make it up for them. How can society improve if we do not know all facts? How can society improve if we do not allow free speech, even when it is against our opinion and agenda? How can we stop this from happening in the future? By suppressing it? Censorship? Rewrite the books so the event never happend? Or talk about it, get the facts on the able, try to understand the situation, get an OPEN DISCUSSION so one can talk about it and inform people when they are wrong.

The attitude of some of these posts is what brought us to this event in the first place; ignorance. Let us ignore people and suppress; censor the shit out of them. They can try to scream louder and louder and we just censor them again. This goes on and on 'till they find out that talking and discussing isn't an option, so they choose terror instead. Now if only they could talk about it with somebody, they would learn that the people does not agree. But by not allowing them in the first place, they go around imagining that the people agree but "nobody can agree because everybody is censored".. See where I'm getting at?

Yeah that is exactly what happened, the ebil system kept poor Breivik down and he was not able to plan his shit for ages, aquire the necessary materials and indulge in his ideologic war on the internet. They also taped his mouth shut and forbid him to talk to other people.

There are also no parties in parliament anywhere in europe and especially not in scandinavia who don't spout similar stuff on a regular basis while living splendidly on tax money. CENSORED!!!!1

Freedom of speech is being allowed to say what you want and listen to what you want under the constraint of law.

I don't think advocating an open discussion is what any of this is about. There is intelligent conversation and then there is blocking out the noise. That man is noise pure and simple, his world view is so twisted Escher couldn't paint it. His world view in a nut shell, liberalism is evil something something working with terrorists. His solution, become a terrorist. Neat huh?

It's not censorship if I don't care about his opinion, people engaging in open discourse with him is a false solution and wouldn't of prevented anything. Mostly because he kills those who don't even realize they disagree with him simply over perceived political party preference.

Also for your final point, no I really don't. However no one is censoring the conversation, people are just giving their honest opinion about some person the world is better off without. I don't care what he has to say, I don't give a rats ass about his laundry list of perceptions on how the world should be run and why he felt that shooting a bunch of kids was an A-OK technique for vetting his position. He's not trying to say it wasn't him, good enough put him in a cell and let him talk to a wall for the rest of his life. If you have a counter-point where a deranged mass murderers explanation of why he did what he did made the world a smarter and better world I will always maintain a stop band filter on their point of view.

Now this Breivik guy was a cunt and so was the unabomber, but browsing through their manifestos and other crap is still educational and mildly entertaining, if only from an armchair psychologist viewpoint.

I'm not equating the two in any way (though some of you will think I am regardless, it's failheap after all ) but reading rightwing publications like Finnish version of economist (sort of, eg Taloussanomat) already fills me with disgust for humankind, because of the tone/attitudes/viewpoints you can see colour their writing and thinking. In a way these nutbag manifestos or speeches are much easier to handle despite being far more warped, since most of society classes them as nutbags anyway.
