Kinda disappointed because those are just catalysts with different skins.

Also CCP severely needs to fix their model fuckups (wingless Vagabond, disconnected Tempest, all Amarr ships turning dark/grey etc)
    Actually an '06.

    EVE: OrangeAfroMan
    Dust514: Andrelommech
    MWO: Northern Nomad

They're making unique destroyers too, don't worry there are two other t2 manufacturers per race to make these. Plus even more manufacturers for LP and Mission rewards.

This is just the start (and a part) of "custom" veneering, two seperate things.
I'd be dismayed if the stats of :these: ships was completely different.

Just remember that bonuses are special bonusues, and not per level, so for example 30% ECM strenght on Ibis is all you get.

I'm ok with ship skins if they'll be obtainable with LP or ISK, but CCP can go fuck them selves if they sell it for Aurum.

I ... can't understand why they would treat ship skins any differently to player clothes.

Ship skins(should they actually appear in game) will be destructible, clothes are not. So they will treat ship skins differently than player clothes, the question is - to what extent.

I don't understand how people are still mad over Aurum when you can simply purchase it with plex, so you don't even need to spend real money

I guess it depends if the ship is created without needing a tech one hull you've either bought or build, and if the stats of the newly veneered ship is different than the original.
Creating ships out of "thin" air and buffed ships for real money meh

Going by the descriptions though it looks like they existed before hand, so I'm not sure how you'd explain away needing a tech 1 ship before hand, unless you had to trade it in or something :3

Clothes should be destructible, and they would have been if they hadn't retailed for ten bucks a shirt.
    Contract stuff to Seraphina Amaranth.

not quite sure what that means tbh 'static' bonuses have been called roll bonuses [for half a decade now].
in e.g. 2006, regular ship bonuses did carry that description though.
on one hand, the were multiplied by level, otoh they explicitly said so 'per level' in their descriptions.

fakeedit: hummm i just found the pirate ships -.- e.g. the bhaalgorn has the marauder-like 100% dmg 'special' -.-

so... this could still go either way vOv

10% bonuses could just go suck a dick though
niot like they're going to cause that much harm with those HP and 2/2/2 slots

The only real reason to complain about this by now is, that this puts pressure onto PLEX-prices and effectively burns otherwise purchasable game-time. Beyond that, Aurums are practically a NPC-good and building resource with variable prices now, which is considerably better then only beeing available for RL-money and still considerably better then pretty much every other NPC-good, as there is at least some remote player-control over the price.
But anyways, the former fear is a very real threat, especially since you can bet on alternate colour-schemes and maybe probably even player-made colour-schemes are a very high-in-demand good. CCP may have promised to monitor the PLEX-prices, but honestly, what are they gonna do, once they spiral out of control? Spawn underpriced PLEX sell-orders? I don't think so, Tim.

They won't sell skinned ships with different stats for AUR, that would go against their "no golden ammo etc" rules

I can however see them selling a *license to use this skin on any ships you own for the next week* for AUR though, similar to BLR's skin cash shop.

And I would be okay with this.

edit, anything thinking that a 30% bonus to ECM on the ibis is going to be per level is retarded and should die, special bonuses have always been unaffected by level.

I see, since ECM is underused and underpowered compared to other EWAR, it definitely needs a bigger bonus then the rest. Twice as much would have been too little.
