I can't decide if I should run some alchemy poses as there are a lot of systems with 10ish cobalt around me. If I decide to do this will I just want to commit suiside soon after?

Erm, what is the little ball of stuff you play with?
Yarn. And catnip. Multicolored yarn infused with catnip.

I'm not interested in your tiny balls, but both those expansions offered barely anything at all.

think you missed a golden opportunity to compare his tiny useless balls with the tiny useless offerings of incarna and tyrannis.

also, i touch my little tiny balls of stuff when im logged in, logged out, walking around in public, basically a good 20 to 30% of my day

If you have to ask that, you probably shouldn't bother with POSing at all...

    Profitability:
Mined/Refined/Reacted amount x Value of goods > Fuel Costs ?
If yes, then it's worth it. If no, then not. But even if yes, it's up to you to decide, whether the profit suffices to offset the logistical complexity and as outlined in other threads and by various people elsewhere, it's highly doubtfull that the alchemy will yield any or even mentionable profit, because it lacks bulk yield.

If I decide to do this will I just want to commit suiside soon after?
You never dealt with POSes, right? I'll put it into simple turns: If you're a masochist, you'll love it. Otherwise... Here's a dulled, rusty razor.

CCP Fozzie just posted that they're changing it from 20:1 to 10:1 ratio, making tech prices even lower and cobalt even better. What does this do to prices of various things? He posted this less than an hour ago, what do I buy?

    Quite the contrary.

Not much. You can still earn more money by doing highsec anoms.

The change in ratio to 10:1 should cap the value of tech in the 50-60k range. See Akita T's post in this thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default...posts&t=134510

Well, if you would get 60k straight profit at no expenses from the tower that would be around 800M per month per double reactor POS. Remove 400M for fuel, some 100M (guess) from materials and you make 300M per month per tower, and you need to baby-sit the tower once per 3days and haul about two JF loads per month. And if during that month someone kills your tower you have made nothing or lost money.

And no, this won't make cobalt more valuable as it's demand just got cut in half. Only "real" effect is halving your fuel bill and halving the amount of towers you need to stick inside your anus.

Looks cool. Especially rookie frigs and their bonuses making them well rounded for... rookies. These will make them more powerful disposable hulls.
I preferred Hulks for mining ice anyway due to the extra cargo space. I would only have to come back and warp-dock every 20 minutes or so since I don't bot. Plenty of time to do something else while playing.

I'm a bit miffed about the new Hulk having a lower base ice-yield per second then the old Mackinaw, necessitating the ice-rig to get to (and a bit above) the old stats. Granted, the difference ain't that high, but enough to have an impact on the market on a large mining-scale.

How about you get an alt with an Orca or about any hauler to sit next to your Mackinaw / Hulk and haul your ice? Or use a few cans and pick them up with a hauler. However ice cans are usually emptied by thieves. Using anchored GTCs etc is possible but more annoying due to their small size and anchor mechanics with mandatory distances to other cans etc.

Give Mangala a week or two and he'll organise one on doubt. Or find someone else to step up and FC.
