I think they fit loads of ECCM on the frigs so they still have a good chance of controlling the match.

Possibly the greatest tournament performance in history. Hun are incredible. Even better than their performance against PL in the 4th tourney final.

Except they are not bringing the exact same setup every match, not even the same ships. They've run 3 vargur, 2 vargur and Sleip, 2 vargur and loki and that's just from memory (and likely before the different midslots etc)

    Very well played Hun

Those Vargurs are fearsome. I would love to see the fits for all those ships.

Both teams brought the goodfights tonight.

(Unfortunately for PL we killed 2 HUN ships to their one - making us roughly twice as good at pvp as PL, right?)

Mentioned this. I'd laugh if they brought a completely screwy setup.

Looking forward to a competitive time there.

This. Just because there's 2 Vargurs at the top of the watchlist on the stream doesn't mean everything else is the same. They're changing things for each match, and they're probably not doing that randomly but rather with a damn good reason based on what they expect to face. I'd go so far to say that their Assault Frigs have been the unsung heroes of these matches, I've noticed a few times where they've spread webs for some clutch peels and range dictation against bigger ships as well as keeping the enemy support at bay.

They stacked eccm and ecm bursted to the point where our damage would tapper off at the perfect time, they ran a huuuge risk in us bringing the same setup and it pulled off.
I'm sure it's frustrating to be sperging about how someone said "no, not doing that yet" - but we've had 7 years to learn to pace ourselves after killing a block. And I dare say -- we've gotten quite good at it.

Sorry if it doesn't suit the armchair generals who have never committed to anything for more than 2 months, but by now we've learned that we really don't give a shit about what you think v0v.

Yeah, i noticed an ECM burst when i was briefly ontop of their scimitar in our match against them so i figure that was always part of their comp. At the time it actually confused the hell out of me - i had to double check overview to see if it'd be volleyed by the sleips, that split second of 'duh?' gave him a chance to pull range and stuff.

it was a really tight setup. I wish we'd been able to practise the 12v12s - i can't help but feel we would have tweaked our setup and have killed a couple more of them (before succumbing because we are pubbie bads) .
