How To Be The Best Spy You Can Be

So I'm wondering if anyone out there has any good advice on being a spy within Eve. Dos and Don'ts, etc etc.

I'm thinking of trashing one of my 0 skilled alts, starting a new one so it isn't that old, throw some skill points at it and enter a newb corp, grow it for a while, then start applying to better targets.

But that seems like a bit too much work. I def don't want to start up a new account just for spying, or use one of my mains.

Also welcome any great suggestions for who to join.
Things I'd like in an alliance I'm going to spy in
    1. Entertaining Comms, emo rage is fine
    2. Lot's of Carebears
    3. Bitter veterans
    4. Faction battleships in low and null-sec

    Thoughts?

    Contract stuff to Seraphina Amaranth.

From what I understand he has no point to it, he just wants to give it a try.

I like how this thread is about how some guy with a low post count is arguing with another guy with a low post count..

I was also hoping Isben's avatar would pull the majority of the trolling towards him

Yeah. Who here stops trolling people at 200 posts?

    As for spying:
Any serious targets will require an api key that lets them list all characters on the account. You therefore must have a clean account.
Be very careful about how you transfer goods to/from your main. If the target corp wants access to transaction history you'll need a way around that. GSCs, mule alts, chribba, etc, are all fine.
    Make the character female.
Give the character a believable skillset. Train a few crap skills that a newbie would have trained and then regretted. Etc.
Spend time in a "standard progression" of corps, social/pve, then small pvp, then target.
Have caution with voice coms. Try to avoid speaking in them altogether, have a conveniently broken mic/don't want to wake the person in the next room/etc. You may be recognized as a spy by your voice, especially if the target corp has spies in your main corp.
Be careful if using it for information, smart corps will feed suspected spies false/misleading info and see what happens.

That's great advice actually thank you. I let you know how it goes. I'm going to try to talk my way around api first if that doesn't work I'll see if I'm willing to do the cost of a new account.

    1) Learn to speak with different accents, mannerisms etc etc.
    2) Learn to type different ways - if people are used to the real you typing like an idiot at all times, or mispelling certain things, focus on not doing that. Always add commas, periods, apostrophes, w/e. Otherwise, intentionally put in stuff like that - always use u, mispell stuff, use a certain word a lot, get in the habit of using () very often (or say etc etc a lot, etc etc). Smilies are also huge =D
    3) Whenever I spy, I always spy on alliances(fuck corp theft, I'm there typically on contract to dismantle said alliance, or to change things on an alliance level). When I join a corp, I actually join the corp. I do things to help them out, and do as much as I can to help the corp. Though you may not notice it, this does overall make you seem more genuine. You may detest the hell out of the alliance, and possibly your corp, but work hard as if you actually want the corp to succeed.

I've done more of this than people should/will ever know. If you want more specific answers, ask more specific questions.

    I like that approach LordsServant
making the corp better/better pilots better eve, maybe even move them out of a fail alliance after accomplishing alliance level spy goals. Then move on with good standing from that corp into new assignment.

dont log simultaneous your main account and your spy. nor ingame, nor on different ts/mumble/forum.s. actually, never log simultaneous on 2 ts/mumbles or have them active in the same time unless you know what are you doing.
buy a cheap vpn in a different region of your country. or other country (if you are serious about it). dont use your ip for spying.
