so some bad can come in and yell about it while the rest of the thread used their brain and thought "hm, how about something that isn't the by far most obvious choice?"

also the mighty austrian navy for the last 50 years until they were finally laid to rest in 2006

    Tremble, you fools.

    HMS WARSPITE

2 world wars and more battle honours than any other ship in the Royal Navy,
Scored a hit on a moving target almost 24KM away, arguably the longest ever recorded hit(depending on who you ask)

does that even carry anything bigger than a glorified machinegun yet ?

seriously, that thing is just doing it wrong.

HMDS Ivar Huitfeldt Air Defence Frigate.

HMDS Absalon Flexible Support Ship, fitted for flotilla command operating in the Gulf of Aden. (rusty you say ? been operating down there for about eight months when that picture was taken)
    Viking, n.:
    1. Daring Scandinavian seafarers, explorers, adventurers, entrepreneurs world-famous for their aggressive, nautical import business, highly leveraged takeovers and blue eyes.
    2. Bloodthirsty sea pirates who ravaged northern Europe beginning in the 9th century.

Hagar's note: The first definition is much preferred; the second is used only by malcontents, the envious, and disgruntled owners of waterfront property.

    I give you this

This just in, being complacent in a foreign port can be fatal. Ignoring safety measures can also escalate the issue.

    HMCS Bonaventure and Magnificent respectively.

Canada once had aircraft carriers, they weren't particularly useful because :Cold War: but they made our collective dick feel bigger.

Inevitable not-quite-a-warship-yet post: the forward section of HMS Queen Elizabeth.

A few months back I saw one of the carrier blocks being shipped down the river Clyde on a barge. The thing was enormous, much more impressively huge than it looks in pictures.

USS Texas is parked east of Houston, TX. Therefore it is a good picture of the San Jacinto Monument. Washington Monument has no star on top

I basically came to post this !

    It's a fucking legend of a ship.
