Every time I see Lall on the tekkit server I imagine him currently perched on the bog, laptop on his knees, in a mixture of secret joy and fear of getting caught. Also, someone should open a window.

Seeing as more people buy video games than films/music combined I'm unsure why you feel the need to hide your inner geek when its a celebrated part of everyday life, unlike back in the '80s or '90s when it would earn you beatings on a daily basis.
If you were a superhero you'd be The Incredible Fucktard with your ever-ready sidekick Douchetard Boy. Together, you fight intelligence and common sense where you go.
Do you know any real people? You can get away with being an understated occasional gamer, perhaps get away with a wry joke about the addictiveness of champ-man or besting mariokarts, but noone normal (i.e. not a nerd) talks about games with enthusiasm socially. I don't LIKE that this is reality, but reality it is.
Anyway lall, there is no difference in quality between a 200$ set up and a 5000$ one.
Sorry Helen is a moderator/admin and you are not allowed to ignore him or her.
Bit of a stupid first sentence but ignoring that jab aside, plenty of people I know talk about games on a regular basis even the "cool" guys who like to surf alot (because surfing is cool right?).
But then my friends are mostly in the same age range as me (late 20's/early 30's) and grew up with consoles and computers, not sure why its unacceptable in your crowd but its kinda odd to me not to chat with others about games they have played recently. It's easily no different than talking about films and/or music.
But then I don't live in a big fancy city with all your la-de-da's and big words.

Mate, I learned a long time ago that people from around here just aren't really supposed to blend in with people like Lall, we're the sort of people that they like to talk about over their sparkling water and modest-but-not-too-modest cocaine pile. Probably best not to get too involved.
I also learned that people that still surf in the year 2012 are just as well adjusted as my old gamer buddies from the 90's
Both will be kind of shit.
Good sound is expensive. As a general rule of thumb, you are looking at 1% of system value per day of rental (at least, thats how the business I used to work for cost it out), technicians not included.
Look at getting some powered (built in amps) stand mids/highs and definitely a single powered sub if you are going to be outdoors, or the bass will simply not translate, especially if you are playing any kind of dance music. A small mixer to drive it will help a lot as well, especially if you lot are going to be plugging iPods in and out of the system. Those loud clicks can be bad for ears/speakers. Turn down the channel when you change the source. Here where I live, that should be doable for around $300 a weekend. NFI about the audio rental business in Majorca, but its probably going to be pretty expensive because its probably like one guy who has a captive market and is dodgy to boot.
meh
Get some version of these self amplified speakers http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...DPA%2BSpeakers
and some kind of small mixer to hook them up to then just use a adapter cable to attach ipods http://www.amazon.com/SF-Cable-3-5mm...s=3.5mm+to+rca
It is Lallante so he has to be trolling some what, I could understand not wanting your friends and other half knowing you game 8+ hrs a day everyday but to have to hide/lie about the fact you even dare install a "game" on your computer says a lot about the friends you keep.
As you say pretty much everyone I know plays some sort of game from people around my age to my boss who is in his 60's, they might not want it to be the first thing you have a chat about but at the same time they are hardly going to think you're a nerd or outcast for mentioning gaming.
