PODLA is recruiting solo and small gang pvp'ers.

We are a small corporation and want to stay that way.
We fly in small gangs and try to fight the bigger blobs out there, we use strategy and tactics over numbers.
We learn to trust each others piloting proficiency and know we can expect the best from our pilots.

Requirements:

- You must be self sufficient, our pilots have played the game long enough to know how to survive alone in EVE. We make our own ISK, haul our own ships, and take care of ourselves.

- You must be a solo pvp'er, this is most important, we mostly fly solo, when we gang up we fly the same way and expect our pilots to know what to do in any situation and against any odds. We don't have FC's, we just know what to do and communicate well when fighting the enemy.

- You must be able to fit and fly most subcap ships, and have the appropriate supporting skills.

- You must be chill. We don't like excessive raging, getting emotional over the game, drama etc. You need to be able to handle criticism, reflect on your mistakes etc. in a mature and open minded way.

- We only PvP, sometimes we need to take breaks and activity can drop low, you need to be able to entertain yourself during these periods.

- Passable English, working microphone, TS3.

I've found myself decent at pvp in the fw area, but I've never really understood soloing about in 00. I feel like I just run into large instalocking camps or just don't find anything engageable in general.

The trick is to find commonly camped/used systems, the in-game map can help a lot with this using the 'active pilots docked in the last 30 minutes or something like that I can't remember' function. Also systems like that will often be busy at different timezones etc. if you scout regularly and even keep a log of who is active where and at what time you'll become familiar with different areas and know where you can get a fight at what time. Furthermore locations go through like FOTM camping spots, so an alliance can be like camping EC- all day everyday for a couple of weeks then the system can be dead for a few weeks. It's a lot of effort compared to FW where you can get a fight in just a couple of jumps, but if you keep at it you'll soon just know where you can get a fight or not. Try EC-, M-O, Providence, Curse, Syndicate. Check up on recent 0.0 events, TEST have just taken over Delve, you may find people who went there for the war are just bored now and are roaming around solo or in small gangs.

You can avoid insta-lock camps with a scout alt, highly recommended, but if you are a die hard true-soloer then you gotta get back to basics, never warp directly to a gate, always to a nearby celestial, if you jump a gate and there's ships on the other side you can't kill just instantly without hesitating burn back to gate with overheat.

If you wade out deeper into 0.0 you can come across people who have gotten too comfortable in their home regions and will often just engage you as they feel that their buddys have got their back, but these opportunities need to be acted upon quickly as delaying fighting is usually just giving them time to get several Falcons in place.

Never expect a good fight in somebodys home base though. These systems are where people carebear and make isk, they don't want you there and will do everything they can to get rid of you and ensure you don't want to come back, you'll get blobbed by everything nasty.

Personally I used to love FW for how easy it was to get PvP, but I found eventually the enemy got used to who I was and what I did and I got bored of fighting the same people over and over, I get a great sense of achievement after fighting groups of players who are expecting to just faceroll us, and instead get destroyed because they are relying on their numbers and isk.

That said I've been doing terrible lately LOL
