Lallante's give with one hand, take with the other post made me wonder, what would happen if you were not eligible to give +rep twice consecutively and thus had to negrep once for each +rep?

Think people would just stop +repping because they couldn't be bothered or just pick on an easy victims and kick the red posters while they're down?

Meh, it's hard for me to find posts I hate enough to negrep. I've apparently only negrepped one person and now I really wanna see what post it was.

That thread vastly improved from it's "humble" beginnings though, FHC was clearly ready for it at the time (well... after it's somewhat rocky start where everyone was flaming Aurora I guess).

Aye. Same here. The only temptation is to return negrep-fire to those who crush you with some negrep, but frankly a neg-rep-shitfest just isn't worth getting into.

Negrep wars were rarely an issue when reps were anonymous.

...which raises an interesting question. Don, is there any way to compare the frequency of negreps before and after reps had names attached to them?

If you get in a neg rep war with a cool FHCer you can easily change it to a plus rep war by giving him a plus rep instead of neg repping back. It's even more fun when you turn it in to a conversation.
