I tend to neg rep people that start complaining about the rep system. It's less out of vindictiveness and more about "how the fuck can you complain about something that has zero relevance" kinda deal.

Don, how about putting a time limit on posts getting rep of either kind? I just got some retard (spasm ) start derping all over a thread just because someone necro'd it/had been keeping it just about alive for months, and my post on the first page of it is actually >360days old.

Or does rep transcend time?

Lallante's give with one hand, take with the other post made me wonder, what would happen if you were not eligible to give +rep twice consecutively and thus had to negrep once for each +rep?

Think people would just stop +repping because they couldn't be bothered or just pick on an easy victims and kick the red posters while they're down?

Another forum I know has a 1 +, 1 - rep max per day which works quite well.
