God, fuck eBay. Not that it's screwed me over or anything (recently) but that I'm trying to decide what the hell I should buy from the List of Many Wonderful Things I've gradually constructed for myself. Too many choices.
When I was a little kid, I'd usually not have any specific goal, I'd just tend to save my pocket money to some arbitrary amount (basically whenever my patience finally ran out) then go browse the toy aisles at the local mall. While my parents spent their time doing the weekly shopping, I'd be by myself and browsing the toy aisles the entire time, trying to decide what I wanted.
Now with the Internet, it's entirely too easy to spend even more time just browsing the almost infinite variety of desirable objects.
On a semi-related note, I've found a few chill things for the next FHC Secret Santa, depending on who I get as my nextvictimbeneficiary. That's right, after the panic I induced in myself last time I'm already hunting shit out six months in advance.
Got out of hospital yesterday afternoon after having a paraumbilical hernia repaired and part of my intestine that had broken through into the hernia and become trapped put back into position..
Childhood dog was put down yesterday. Obviously sad but we all knew it was coming sooner rather than later to be honest.
In other news, I'm heading to the cinema today for the first time in about five years. Predicting it will take me about 45 seconds to remember why I stopped going last time.
Good luck with the recovery period Warpath, hope its short and uneventful.
Guessing you are not an individual who went with the clantag [CAT] in BF1942 in particular?

Only ever played BFBC2, and was a total nab at that. (not really into shooters.) no pain really when sat still and just a little soreness when trying to stand/sit down. suppose this is to be expected with the bruising slowly coming out, and the staples holding everything together pulling a little though?
:edit: bonus is though six weeks off of work whilst everything heals, boss wasn't impressed though as I only started the job in February..

So do they do keyhole surgery for that, or is it more slice & dice down your side? Chicks dig scars, etc.
6 weeks off? Nice given the shitty circumstance.

Normally keyhole surgery. however I have had this hernia for around six years or more, and never gotten round to doing anything as it wasn't causing any real problems. (Lump would pop back in ect when causing a little discomfort) However on Sunday night I rolled over in bed and felt something tear and the lump would no longer go back in, and there was a pressure build up. went to my GP's Monday morning and was told to fuck off phone for an appointment in several days time.. so went to the local hospitals minor injuries unit (Labour closed the a&E that used to be there) doctor took one look checked that the lump wouldn't go back in and got straight onto the surgeons at Stoke Mandeville hospital. I got there at 9.20AM or so by around 10.30AM I was on a ward and going down for surgery by 12.45 or so. The scar will be around 5/6 inches long vertically, before the operation there was a sort of pouch where the hernia was. Around the size of two fists side by side, this was removed as a part of the operation. Just hoping that this time it actually heals properly, when I had staples in my knee after getting the ACL's done they took the staples out and the wound flopped straight back open again..
This is why I love sesame street

What's better than a long boring day at work? A long day at work with sound checks and an eventual "music" concert performed by our pupils, which won't finish till about 9pm. And I've got to do it all again next Tuesday too. Guess it makes the Dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon seem more bearable.
