Notable incidents, one kid randomly died on the sports oval one afternoon, officially from a heart defect. It probably didn't help that he was a chronic marijuana user, though. One kid threatened to kill himself by jumping off a building, kids wrote "JUMP" with school bags (he didn't jump). Can't think of much else, off the top of my head.
Senior years were awesome due to free study periods, invariably involved fucking off to get fish & chips across town.
Fuck most what we did was skipping school. :-/

I wasn't a school teacher but I was a project worker in a residential housing project for homeless teens. Given the reasons for homelessness tended to connected to crime, drug use and kids hitting 16 who were in the care system or kids of parents who were "less than optimal parents" , you can likely imagine some of the little darlings we used to work with. That said, as a result of that work i'm now a bit more :frysquint" when i hear derisive comments levelled at teachers. Sure there are really shitty teachers out there but many people have no fucking idea what they put up with.

UK public school crew checking in.... but it was in Northwest Devon so the worst thing that happened was that one kid once impaled himself on a tractor's grabclaw. He lived.
Oh and I was once suspended for going into town during lunchtime which you needed a pass to do, but not suspended for choking out another, younger kid who tried to enter the special area for year 11s. I think I got away with that because the IT teacher liked me more than most other kids and he was the deputy head at that point I think.
In some sense the worst story I've heard re: teaching from a teacher on a viennese private school in a posh district of town:
Pupil (~12years) to teacher: What do you even want from me, I get more pocket money in a week than you earn in a month.
Anti-social behaviour knows no income limit nbs etc.

went to a small comp with its fair share of absolute dolescum. The cunts acting hard in front of the teachers was the most hilarious, our History teacher took no shits so when one of the dolescum decided that doing his colouring in sheet was too difficult (aged 15, when the rest of us were doing 1800s industrial Britain), he got all up in the teachers face trying to fight him but the teacher just stood there laughing, which made him so incensed that he punched a wall and mangled his hand. Guy cried like a baby.
The only time in my 6 years there when someone was actually expelled, was when they set the building on fire.

Yes you're right. Cashed up brats with big mouths are just as bad as the beatings and stabbings you get at the shit schools.
My Mum's a highschool maths teacher and when she used to work at maybe the shittiest school in the city she had chairs thrown at her (she dodged it) and kids put into hospital at the school. I went into the school once when I was sick and spent the day in the staff room and when the teachers went out for class I had to lock the door and not open it for anyone that looked under 30. The place was a hell hole and I'm glad I went to private schools the whole way, all we had was the occasional fisticuffs in the quad and no-one got seriously hurt. Our abuse was always psychological, it has more of an effect on the kid and it is easier to deny since it leaves no mark. Of course there was the odd drinking, smoking and probably harder stuff, but that'd be everywhere.
