Returned unnecessary Gamecube & memory card for a trio of PS2 games, a GBA in nice condition, two GBA cartridges, a PC game and a (replica) SNES controller. Not a bad haul. I also learnt our local GAME is an independent store that will re-brand soon and continue trading.

My epic Mexican brosef is having his 48 hour birthday celebration starting tomorrow at 12pm. He's a Mexican who's birthday is the 4th of July. It's a little ironic. I'm going to bring him a $90 bottle of tequila for his birthday after band practice tomorrow night. I fully expect to get really wasted afterwards, and should only return home sometime on the afternoon of the 4th. I hope his Mexican brosefs don't mistake me for a gringo. I'm an African, god dammit.

I got offered a great job with great pay and great hours. Literally offered the job. Starts in 2 weeks. 18 months contract. £16 an hour (which is quite a bit for IT support, believe me).
Offered it. Then and there. "We'd love to have you aboard" "excellent CV" "CRB checked out" "blah blah blah" "oh, by the way, you can drive, can't you?"

BUT not to be a negative nancy I've now doubled the amount of driving lessons I'm having per week. I am slowly realising that half of my problems stem from the fact that I see a barrier and then just stop and wallow. I need to do what I've just done - see what the problem is and fix it, not use it as an excuse to give up.
So the positives are:
1) I just need a fucking car and driving licence (which should happen in the next couple of months I think)
2) there are companies and good jobs that want me and are asking me to join
but still, that was fucking annoying.
