Welp. I had a good Monday evening, basically thanked HDG for a great night last Tuesday and explained she could make anything of herself she wants - she was going on at me last week because I'm "destined for great things" - and anyway wound up bringing her round to the idea of going out again this week.
Finally did something right and explained there's no rush even though I'm going away. It's good to be Izo again - my next few months consists of flying, dating, and if I get past the first 3 months in Canada I can hit up the ski resorts and such.
Frankly really happy I unfucked my situation with HDG though because she's a refreshing change and yeah - I don't get too many dates!

So my vacation has been like this.
Last monday and tues in Florida: tropical storm and flooding. In Ohio where I am sunny and 80s.
Friday through today in Ohio: thunderstorms, power outages. In Florida where I am sunny and breezy.
Vacation timing successful.

Internets been downsince Sat morning till this morning, got into a motorbike accident Sat night but no injuries or damage. I have the next two days off (so does my girlfriend), my friend is moving in next door, and I'm picking up new furniture.
