I'd much rather face Fluffeh Bunneh Murder Squad next week than a team like PL. Would prefer to save those fights for Groups or Finals.
From my experiences in Syndicate (roaming through there rather than living there), EU timezone tends to have more smaller (<10 man) gangs running around, whereas in US timezone there tends to be only a few larger (>15 man) gangs running around, where if they don't want to fight, you tend to get blue-balled for a while since it's going to be another 30 minutes or so that you find a gang of a similiar size.
- don't confuse the fact that I like to be right with the rumors that I actually might be -

Obvious troll is obvious, but perhaps I should put something down for the sake of utter morons reading this thread.
Think about the case of INIT during AT9. In the first round, they fought against a really terrible setup (bad choice of ships AND their FC had been disqualified), and they curbstomped it. This put them near the top of the list, and they got paired against White Noise for round two. White Noise dunks on them, zero points. They ended up with 1/1 and 62.5 points, and that wasn't enough to advance that year. Same thing with Electric Monkey Overlords.
Now, look at some similar stuff playing out this year:
* Gorgon vs Fourth. Gorgan brought a complete Caldari blaster team featuring Naga and two Feroxes. FFS, nobody in their right mind would call that a good setup; however, it went up against an even worse setup, and so it pulled off a 62.5 point THD. This doesn't mean that Gorgon is good relative to the rest of the field; they just got a lucky draw versus someone even worse than them. Result: They're fighting Goonswarm next round.
* Tribal Conclave vs Shadow Cartel. SC had one of their most important ships crash right as the match started; Conclave roflstomps the leftovers using a relatively weak setup. Result: HUN Reloaded in round two.
Can you figure out why we're perfectly happy to collect a win and face Fluffy Bunnies next round?
We're not PL, and this isn't some "EXACTLY AS PLANNED" Xanatos Gambit -- we could have done better. But we're not exactly abloobloobloo about this result either. GF to Pizza, who honestly did better than expected; looking forward to round two!

but your setup was still mediocre and you flew terribly so hopefully you don't do that next game ye m8?
also you shouldn't call 4th a bad team, Ladel is very defensive about how bad his team is
Argh. I guess it's just hard to see what's going on in the arena. Their scimitar was 70km from our bhaal. Bhaals are slow. We damped their drakes and thus they did no damage. We got tackle on a drake and then got on him with good dps. Then they put 15 ecm drones on the oracle and it was jammed for about two solid minutes, so the drake could tank the incoming dps. Punisher clears drones. Oracle is close to scimitar, tries to kill it, can't put down any real dps so it switches back to the drakes and we kill both drakes.
No Brent I'm pretty sure we don't know how to fly our ships and I can't believe we won a match. I'm sorry intigo I'll make sure we lose our next one so we can be out of the tournament like you.
As Scuba Sam would say, "Be nice to Hydra/ Outbreak. It's not their fault they can't read."
come on boys, we can get the first 4 page match thread!
