Thukk You, Frill Me! In-game Event, Sunday 15 July

Further to various player opinions about the removal of the Vagabond's "frill", a protest march is being organised for Sunday 15 July.

The TL;DR is that it'll be a Stabber/Vagabond roam from Jita to the Great Wildlands region, with the final goal being to die horribly in null-sec. Anything folk can do to further our goals would be greatly appreciated.

For more info check out this blogpost or this EVE-O thread. If there's an interest here I'll keep this post up-to-date with new developments.

    At-a-Glance Itinerary
    (subject to change)

1800 'My Loot, Your Tears' Prize Suicide Gank in Jatate
1900 General Stabber/Vagabond muster to form the "Frill Me" fleet at Jita Memorial to flash our knickers at the AT10 camera.
1929 "Thukk You" Outlaw/RvB fleet enters Jita, performs monument alphastrike flyby. Pinata self-destructed.
1930 "Thukk You, Frill Me!" combined fleet departs Jita on Protest March
    2000 Rendez-vous with remaining outlaws in low-sec
2100 Fleet arrives in M-MD3B to deliver a sternly-worded letter of complaint to the Thukker Mix CEO.*
    2101+ Tea & Biscuits/Death or Glory
2130 Surviving protesters head for Delve via Curse and Catch
*this may involve a degree of carnage.

Already decided there'll be an RvB Ganked running as part of/along side the "march" when it hits low and null.

    Stabber/vaga themed ofc

    Nice one Mangala.

Is RvB Ganked staying in low-/null-sec only to accommodate outlaws? Can I direct non-RvB interested parties with sec status issues to link up with you folks? Also, would you be interested in participating in the Jita Memorial outlaw flypast as a means of kicking off the march?

I'm hoping we'll have a few fleets involved by the end - that way, when we reach our destination, assuming there isn't an almost inevitable surprise attack requiring a "purple" response, we can all turn on each other in a glorious Crack Suicide Squad attack.

Assuming it doesn't clash with AT (>implying we'll make it that far) I'm down with this.

I should imagine most folk will have at least half an eye on AT X, we'll just have to organise around that and make sure we don't do anything too taxing whilst matches are on.

Also, just had this convo with the wife:

Wife: What's this "Fuck You, Fill Me" thing? Sounds filthy.
    Me: Just a Stabber/Vagabond roam.
    Wife: You're stabbing homeless people?
    Me: ...

FHC too busy with AT10? Or maybe agree with it enough that they don't want to troll.

Yeah, I was surprised. Not sure whether to be disappointed or relieved. Maybe you're all getting old.

Wait till all the failheapers turn up in Ruptures.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those Thukkers, that way I wouldn't have to have any goddamn stupid useless conversations with anybody.

I imagine a fair chunk of us FHCers are familiar with Freebooted and his blogging escapades; probably why he's managed to avoid being trolled so far. July 15th seems a bit long to wait for a current event protest to take place, though.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Evelgrivion. To be honest, I should've signed up ages ago, but I've always put it off for the very reason that you can't post on FHC unless you've already posted on FHC, so I've always been content to be a silent spectator. Also, good work on the Guild Launch thing folks, I'm glad an EVE site won.

With regard to the date - you can't please every one - if it'd been earlier folk would've said there wasn't enough notice. Besides, two weeks gives time for word to spread and for things to be organised without a frantic rush. Even the "frill" issue is resolved by then isn't all that important, it's more a matter of principle. And it's for the the japes.

Plus, it was the earliest clear weekend day in my schedule.

I remember when we raged about actual problems in Eve (avatar tech demos being developed instead of gameplay, etc), rather than the look of some virtual spaceships.

To be honest Dierdra, this isn't so much about rage, it's kind of a satirical swipe at that very reaction. Admittedly, some participants are quite militant about the Vagabond changes and that's cool - it's that passion that's driving things forward. But I just see this as an opportunity to organise an enjoyable event that will hopefully be pretty inclusive for everyone from high-sec bears to flashy reds. Some folk get to bang their drum about some issues, others get to blow stuff (or themselves) up.

    Everyone's a winner.
