So, got bored, tried to fit a Fleet Scythe. Jesus Christ what was CCP thinking?
Fleet Scythe is unabashedly terrible.
It's a ship that has no fucking clue what it wants to be, but it's not doing whatever the hell it's supposed to do. It's a 'Miniature Typhoon' without the resilience or flexibility of the Typhoon in any area.
My suggestion to solve that:
6/4/4 H/M/L (+1 Low)
4 launchers, 4 turrets (+1 each)
75m3 drone bay, 50Mbit drone bandwidth. (+50m3, +25 Mbit)
335 CPU (+75)
1045 PG (+300)
This lets it fit something like this:
[Scythe Fleet Issue, Sure Why Not]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Internal Force Field Array I
Ballistic Control System II
Experimental 10MN MicroWarpdrive I
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
Small Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Navy Cap Booster 400
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Assault Missile
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Assault Missile
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Assault Missile
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Mjolnir Assault Missile
Dual 180mm AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
Dual 180mm AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Fusion M
Medium Anti-Explosive Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Medium Trimark Armor Pump I
Hammerhead II x5
Warrior II x5
----
Which is 28k EHP, 483 DPS. Not outrageous, but more on par with an actually useful combat ship, especially combined with the low sigrad.
The logic behind the 4/4 hardpoint division is that it lets you pick your primary weapon system to a greater extent and thus tailor your use of damage mods a bit better, and mirror's the Typhoon's flexibility in having more hardpoints than highs.
The drone upgrades are to give the Fleet Scythe both more punch, and the option to field a flight of backup drones.
I considered a 6/3/5 layout, but aside from the fact that this would simply mimic the Rupture layout exactly, it opened the door for too many LSE + nano shenanigans with that many lows and the small sigrad the ship has.
I'm not 100% confident in this, but I figure it can't possibly be any -worse- than the current FScythe.
