Hey Cool - don't count on me. Mostly because I didn't buy a ticket :-) It was a fun thought, but it's not feasible - too expensive, last minute, etc.

Would've loved to make it but had to work until 8pm configuring a customer's network. Not fun. Instead I came home, ate a stuffed crust pizza and drank 7% cider.

I had an awesome night Saturday. I will chronicle my journey below as I'm not tired yet (still sleeping in the wrong time zone).
The address is no longer a bar by the way. Not that it matters to faggy shut in FHCers.
Went to the white Hart nearby and had a few pints with some Canadians. 3£ for a really nice ale is awesome. In Canada a good pint costs around $7+ (then again we can get pitchers) . Watched GB win some golds, the place was alive for sure.
That bar closed so I resumed by journey towards brick lane (was recommended by a nice Italian PhD student and her friend). On the way I saw about 10 people with team Canada sweaters, turns out it was members of the Olympic committe and athletes! Nice girl from Toronto gave me a pint, and soon we went on to a nearby club. Really nice place that had been converted from a warehouse. 10£ cover though to the upstairs. Met lots of new people including a few from Ottawa (small world). A cute Londoner helped me with my dancing and an irishman bought me shots of jager.
He challenged me to a game of "footie" before I leave, then he made a pass at a cute girl only to be felt up by what I would describe as a munter. See, I am catching in to these Britishisms.
Made it home around 4am and spent 20 minutes trying to open the damn door.
People were very friendly and great to get along with. Easy city to meet people in for sure. I didn't even make it to brick lane, will try again sometime this week.
Tl;dr my night was a success, failheapers are too busy jerking off to ponies (nbs)
