    Documentary thread

    The War You Don't See
    Society/war. Trust your TV. Maybe.

    NG: Ground Warfare
Military/engineering. 4 parts: Guns, tanks, fortresses and arty. All awesome.

BBC Horizon: Is Everything We Know About The Universe Wrong?
Science/astronomy. Horizon is legendary. This one is one of the best.

The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert S. McNamara
Politics/philosophy. I don't agree with all of his though but they are none the less without reason.

    HOME
    Society/environment. Makes you think.

    The Revelation of the Pyramids
Conspiracy/history. Pyramids. A bit cheesy but interesting. Special recommendation for Stargate fans.

Man on Wire. About the freestyle highwire walk between the WTC Towers.

Best reviewed movie on Rottentomatoes. If you can watch it without being amazed then you are completely heartless.

    I enjoyed this one:

Chernobyl: Life in the Dead Zone
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud33w...feature=relmfu

About how the wild animals (wolves, boars, etc) are thriving in the area around Chernobyl without any people around.

Because poor people and white trash are always amusing.

    Dogtown and Z-Boys
Cause skating is like cool and stuff.

    Sharkwater
Biased as hell and glorifying the subjects a tad much. But nice footage and i truly love sharks.

    Manufacturing Consent
Well, it is sort of a documentary about Noam Chomsky. Also its good stuff.

Narrated color footage of the war woven in with journal entries of soldiers and various participants.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1489097/

    The Art of Steal
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1326733/
Im not a big art guy and really enjoyed this. Its about this art collection worth billions and all of the people that claim the owner left it to them in his will. I dont do it justice watch it.

    Exit Through the Gift Shop
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1587707/
Banksy thinks hes helping someone make a movie about street art. Ends up making movie about the guy instead. (was interesting interesting)

    And

    The Story of 1
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482651/
Terry Jones tells us about the origins of the number 1. =)

That and the WWII in colour one are decent documentaries but almost all of the colour and all of the HD is them doctoring the footage.

All well and good for watching but don't go using it for anything that needs to be authentic.

Its doctored using original data from the film. Alot of the film used back then was infact capturing color information they just didnt know about it.
