He told me the liquids are 70-30 PG/VG. Should I be worried about anything? They taste all right, albeit a bit diluted (Pinkman usually has prime punch and he was out of that so can't compare), but...

I dunno. Watermelon, custard and lemon sherbert are p. awesome though.

Planning to pull trigger on Griffin and a Coilmaster kit when I get back to the UK, anything else I will need? Looks like the Coilmaster comes with enough Kanthal/Cotton to get started. Planned on the Griffin for large build deck + great reviews, have watched umpteen dozen wicking tutorials so think I know what to expect.

If anyone else has got anything they want to recommend, shout out. 22mm pls for aesthetic compatibility with Smok R80.

Fair shout. I tried TC with the SS coil that came with the kit and found it was cutting off before I felt like I got enough vapour, if that makes sense. I tend to take drags of around 6 seconds in ww mode.

I have been burning out coils quicker than people suggest they should last, mind, hence why I'm going for an RTA.

I like Pueblo or American Spirit with thin yellow papers and menthol filters.

6 second drags will do that. Tried more power & shorter hits?

I've found with some of SS coils I've had to do resistance test/coil sense thingi again to get it to set properly.

Nah they set fine, I just couldn't get a power/temp balance I liked. I've ordered some SS wire and also a Tsunami to go with my Griffin so I'll experiment some.

AH gotcha I read that differently in my head for whatever reason.

I too do long hits; so I usually go with 451deg and ~35 Joules.

    The Griffin has arrived!

After an hour or so of fucking it up, I finally got it wicking and behaving properly, and my word, it's amazing. Did a dual core 2.5mm, 7wraps 24AWG Kanthal. Came out to 0.3, glowed nice and evenly with barely any hotspots (the coiling kit, for a first-timer like me, makes clean coils childsplay). Vaping at 30w with some Pinkman and it's just...mmmm. Clean, lots of vapour production, wicks fine (although this is 40/60 juice so not overly thick), doesn't heat up on contact.

I did waste nearly half a bottle on wicks that weren't thick enough, which is slightly frustrating, but meh. I'll get there with practice. And I'm gonna have to step down nic level on this tank because 6mg is giving me a headrush after one pull. Next I've got some 2*28g/32g fused clapton from UD and some 28g SS316L, also from UD. Did have to skip the Tsunami this time round in the end for financial reasons.

Why did this become a hobby again?

    Told you.

Also wicking is an acquired skill, too much and dry hits aplenty too little leak city.

Aye. Still not sure I'm spot on tbh, feel like I underwicked a little bit. It's wicking and flowing fine and no leaks on this set of wicks - the first set was leak city, wicks were just too short and also I think a bit too narrow. Practice makes perfect, no doubt.

Yeah getting a good wick can be tricky be tricky business at times.

I find what works best for me is to have a bit more cotton than I think I need; and sort of pull the wick back and forth in the coil & pull out frays until it 'feels' right. Sort snug but not too much.
