So, this weekend has been looooong but fun.

Saturday had company AGM and then drove from Oxford to Cambridge for a friends glamrock band pub evening, got trashed and had a great time.
Sunday, hangover drive with my mum down to East Sussex to see my step-dad and grandad for fathers day, a great 5 hour lunch there and then driving down to Worthing for dinner.
Monday, went into Southampton in the morning to pick some clothes up for me since I was only meant to be out till Sunday and had nothing clean left to wear Picked up some linen for my mum too as they are signing on a new house this week. That evening we had a 4 hour birthday dinner for a family friend, some very nice local English sparkling wines, a fantastic red wine, a '69 port with the cheese and a chateau d'yequeme dessert wine to finish.
Tuesday, drove from Worthing (surprisingly lacking a hangover) to the very corner of kent to see my gran for lunch, got burnt at the pub in the sun, fail Went back to theirs and had a nap for a few hours, in which time my parents buggered off back to their hotel for the night. I left around 6:10 and got back to Oxford around 8:10, 2 hours is damn good for that journey.

Total driving distance ~550 miles, really glad to finally be home and be able to sleep in my own bed \o/

What was the Occupy movement even about? As far as I could tell it was about pissing me (as a middle class worker) off by shitting up the streets and making me spend an extra 10 mins getting to work in the morning.
Well applying some critical thinking to my post perhaps you can work it out. It consists of two sentences so it shouldn't be too hard.
You had 3 points, of which the last one is specific to you.. The other 2 are specific to your country, which im not in.. So pretty much the occupy movement outside of the US was a 'look at me!!!' event. Well done for attempting to change what you see as an injustice in your own country. All of the people in the occupy movement in Australia are idiots.
Are you trying to suggest that Australia doesn't have the problems of wage inequality and business influencing
    Politicians?
Yes. 75% of Australian adults are in the top 10% wealthiest in the world. You know that 1% everyone hates? We're it. And the lowest 10% wages are growing faster in Australia than everywhere in the world but Greece, Portugal, Spain and Ireland but Australia isn't using debt to fuel that growth. (Those statistics are a year or two old now, doubt Greece is having much growth atm.)

The "Aussie battler" is for the most part a myth. If you are earning 150k as a household you aren't a battler just because you can't afford your mortgage on a 4 bedroom house, two new cars and a trip to a tropical island every summer. Cost of living and cost of lifestyle are two very different things.
So how is the job market there for soon to be mechanical engineers with moderate to good knowledge of the english language or should i just suck it up and learn german already?
At my work a trained mining/civil/electrical engineer would be on about $140k min plus super and bonuses.

This is in NSW and not fly in fly out.
