Well, no horses but a mule that I haul to go camping/riding. And some other mini equines (hint: see pet thread).

Some guy has been playing the same game (yes, session) of Civilization II for the past ten years

The world is a hellish nightmare of suffering and devastation.
There are 3 remaining super nations in the year 3991 A.D, each competing for the scant resources left on the planet after dozens of nuclear wars have rendered vast swaths of the world uninhabitable wastelands.
Don't know whether to be amazed or disgusted

So last night we had a pissup in st. Ives, it's a shithole but we had fun. An old friend of my mums and uncles is in a 70s/80s glam rock band and they played some classics while we sang along and got hammered.
I got steered away from some 35 year old lady by my cousin and her well chested friend. In our group was this stunning German lady who is mid forties but doesn't look a day over 30, fantastic face and body. My uncle used to be tapping that and he was chatting to her much of the night, much to the annoyance of his own partner and the German lady's current partner
After the bad stopped around 12:30-1am the 'kids' started to head into town, we hit some place and grab drinks and all of us nearly fall asleep after we sit down, we decide to head on home.
I get back to the hotel with my sister (inb4 xeno incest) and see my mum, German lady+partner (probably the kindest guy I have ever met), my uncle+partner, all in the bar, I join them and get thourghly wrecked, beer, white wine, whiskey, great choices !!!

Today hangover drive from Cambridge down to East sussex for father day, my grandad is there along with my step-dad, some family friends and other various family. We arrive around 1:40pm and order food for lunch, we eat, drink and celebrate till they start serving for dinner at 6pm. Long lunch, best lunch.
We start to clear out and the bill is requested and then fought over, then finally divided and paid.

Another drive after that towards shoreham to the hotel for the night. As we pull up I'm instructed to park in the open, not under the trees. I assume that because there are birds in the trees and they shit on th cars. Yes, peacocks, in the trees, they do big poos. Also, peacocks are fucking noisy, we have had dinner and I'm winding down for bed and every 4-5 mins there is a peacock screeching,

Tomorrow we are off into Brighton to do some shopping and then back here for a long alcoholic dinner with some old family friends, one of whom is turning 65 on Tuesday.

So, my week off from flight training is just as hectic if not more than training.

Also, all the female staff at this hotel are stunning :frynotsureifmodels.jpg:

I can't go near St Ives, as the artistic pretension has the uncanny habit of making me want to punch things.

As does Totnes, but thats mostly due to the massed hordes of aromatherapists and stoners.

Good day today, played some MTG and L5R and then a ncie session of D&D where we almost all got eaten by a T-Rex.

Not looking forward to tomorrow with another visit to the dentist but may blag the day off work again due to "too much anasthetic".

Went to a local paintball event, about 150 vs 150. Was pretty awesome. Two games of attack and defend, a 2-3 hour one before and after the BBQ lunch. My buddy won an awesome Tippman gun at the end too.

Of course the guys I went with were from Kyrgystyrgyrgystan and were talking about their new awesome vodka they just picked up. : stereotypes :

First official fathers day for me.

    Ambivalent.
    splain?
    My title relates to it.

I have a child (out of wedlock) and my paternity test came back with a "99.99998%" likelihood that I am the father.

Technically, I knew she was pregnant last fathers day, but was not confirmed as the father.

Now I am, and the my son is 4.5mo old, so first "real" fathers day. This is also 1.5weeks after I found out just how deeply penetrated I am by legally mandated child support bills, so not only is the "I am not sure I want to have a child under these conditions" problems but also the "holy shit this is fucking me in the ass" feeling, making me ambivalent about the entire adventure.

I'd <love> to meet a nice girl, marry, and end up with him in my own custody, but for now my head is -still- spinning wildly about the entire thing.
A little late in your case but sound advice for everyone else....

    Bloody hell.
No wonder your last workplace was in tears when you left.
One of the reasons I'll never divorce her: I get to taste all the batches!

In other news my computer decided to be a little bitch today. It suddenly blue-screened while I was playing Civ V, and then refused to start up multiple times. Windows tried to do some Startup Repair shit which of course failed miserably. Fast-forward a couple of hours: I insert the Windows 7 DVD to run the repair thingy, start the computer, see Windows trying to start up because I forgot to change the boot order, and then suddenly succeed. And now the little bitch (i.e. my computer) is pretending like nothing ever happened and being all smug about it. Not sure whether to trust it'll keep working now...
