    This makes me wonder if this can later be expanded for mining low-volume high-value minerals with a T2 Mining frigate. The carebear in me is kind of excited at the concept of specialized Ninja Mining frigate with a covert ops cloak and a bonus to mercoxit mining. Or hell, maybe we can even finally get specialized mini-profession ships.

    After checking the ORE frig image in detail, i saw the model is supposed to have 3 hardpoints, that means 3 turreted mining lasers (not the strip variety), thats quite good if it also has cycle/ammount bonuses of any kind.

    Add a decent "ore" bay to it and it starts to come out as a very appealing design for any carebear. My only issue will be what kind of skills it will require.

    edit: and as long as i can keep fitting an expanded probe launcher to the vigil without (too) much ado, it's all good. i fear they'll ditch the speed bonus though, making it worse than it was mark my words!!!

    yes, it's awesome; (true) EW can be used from far out - who cares if you 'waste' <100dps when your maelströms can apply all of their 12k alpha to even an interceptor and/or ABing logistics (yay, tracking formula..............)

    Reading the devblog specifically mentions that ore will be mined directly into the ore hold.

    Isn't the long term plan for T2 ships to get real separate models, based on their T1 but different?

    I like the mining barge changes but giving the Skiff Battleship levels of EHP is a bit too much unless their mining output is shit.
