    Hnnng.
Pls don't be bad, pls don't be bad.

    Ok, I'm hyped.
Really? They lost me at NIN, tiny sets and that woman from Dollhouse who can't act for shit.

I now imagine the pitch for this was made some time in the mid 2000's and amounted to "Blade Runner, but ruined by the Wachowskis".

Not that I wouldn't love to be proven wrong, but I am no longer hype.

Idgi, Altered Carbon always felt claustrophobic in terms of "sets".

And I like NIN, weird like that. I do agree it may not fully fit the universe.

The End of the F***ing world was so good.

I highly recommend it to anyone that likes a dark comedy series.

Just the fact you're talking about Blade Runner like every fucking moron on the internet talking about this makes me somehow disregard this entirely.

Real talk, no clue where you're coming from.

Or maybe they draw parallels because it's painfully obvious that's exactly how it was pitched to execs who don't know the source material. Except they seem to have added "...but cool, like The Matrix" *queue Juno Reactor song*

Yeah, and? I mean, besides your nerd rage and indignation at a 'cyberpunk' type affair being actiony and exciting what's your point?

Meh song choice aside, I'm not sure what you're expecting.

edit, this is probably the best thing on TV at the moment.
S03E01 was a bit weird, didn't really do it for me yet. Guess they need to ease back into it. Good that they're segueing into the seven keys now, that was one of the best stories in the books.

Well, they had to start on a real downer, which on the one hand saves time but on the other ofc "everything is dreary and shit" is going to be... dreary and shit.

I like Julia getting back into the groove of things (in fact, she had some of the best scenes last season too, e.g. blowing up the forest ), the fantasy castle stuff does nothing for me.

Its fine-ish, but pretty far from best thing on tv.

Agreed. And yes Julia has been kicking ass.

Also the 2nd half of the first season was pretty mind-blowing, so that certainly was one of the better things on TV.

    This.

It stirred a lot of stuff I thought buried. Reminded me of her.

I just finished Dirk Gently. I loved it. Netflix must pick it up.

Netflix has just dropped a new DC superhero show:

So far it looks like the first DC superhero, that's not aimed at young teenagers.

So, DC's version of Luke Cage is it? I want to feel excited but I'm not. But that way I can be pleasantly surprised.
