It's a slow start for those who have watched Rebels. The protagonists is doing the "Will they/won't they" trope that holds absoluetly no one in any suspense in the first two episodes. The villain holds promise though, a really imposing figure who looks like he's a head taller than everybody else. A shame the actor passed away.
And I'm not sure how the plot works out, ancient maps pointing to where events thousands of years later are supposed to end up? Space magic I guess. *Shrug*

Oh, so it's from the school of The Last Jedi?
Probably a pass for me then.
edit: Is Rebel Moon trying to compete with Dune pt. 2? Lol good luck. Looks like a SyFy production.

What annoys me the most is the lack of attention to detail. Should we believe that in a universe with thousands of planets and stars, time is still measured in Earth years? In Star Trek they had the wisdom to introduce the star date.
The series looks cheap, the space cat with chicken feet moves unnaturally. The narrative doesn't make much sense, but we have lightsabers and spaceships. They tried to repeat The Mandalorian and I think we will get Obi-wan.
Started watching The Bear. Hot shit, and makes me hungry.
I don't think it looks as cheap as Obi-Wan, but it does feel completely flat. Like, every shot is flat, the color grading on everything except the uniforms is weirdly flat, and the way the dialog is delivered is almost totally emotionless. This is really just live action Rebels season 5, so for people who loved that show, they get more of it and I'm happy for them. But unlike Andor, which studiously avoided referencing any prior SW work, Ahsoka requires you to have seen it all to even begin to care, which is a shame because I like Rosario Dawson and I like the character of Ahsoka from what I remember.

Apart from Star Wars, Snyder has said that his influences include the films of Akira Kurosawa, especially The Seven Samurai and The Dirty Dozen. He has set his epic saga in a universe controlled by the ruthless and corrupt government of the Mother World (the Imperium) with an army led by one Regent Balisarius (Fra Fee), and the rebel moon of the title is called Veldt. Per the official premise:
When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors—outsiders, insurgents, peasants and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.
Re: Ahsoka.
You have to look at the timeline. This is shortly after Return of the Jedi.
The OG movies created by George Lucas. So Dave Filoni the shows creator and of Clone Wars.
He uses the same color palette from the old movies, control panels etc. all in the same style.
Why is it called earth, when it is mostly water???
The Admiral Thrawn novel Heir to the Empire (1991) is probably the best star wars book. Timothy Zhan is a great sci fi writer.
Haven't watched the show or any of the associated cartons,, but I believe from some commenters who watch this shit so we dont have to that this is in the lead up to the Heir to the empire novel.
Those were all de-canonized, they brought Thrawn back purely because he was such an interesting character and every Star Wars supernerd knew him. I don't think there's any universe where we get an adaptation of the Heir trilogy, I might stick with Ahsoka mostly just to see how they portray Thrawn in this new EU.

We just finished "Who is Erin Carter?", well worth the watch, we actually binged it in the end.
Wheels season 2 is probably next on the list to watch.
When nothing goes right, go left.
Depends. Production suffered during the pandemic and unfortunately it shows a lot towards the end.
Some of the changes to the story are... questionable and leave character motivations all over the place. Not that Robert Jordan was a flawless writer in the first place, mind you.
