Bet you the search light would be a hit box on another tank. Probably set the tank on fire if it was German

Never heard of static discharge? Of course it would set the tank on fire!

Glorious. The Patton is already obsoleted by the Bat. What I need to buff my WR is a BatChic with MORE accuracy and unnerfed DPM...

Would be cool if WG would develop a day/night cycle into the game where additional modules could be used.

IR searchlights for one. Flare grenades as another.

Is the battle at night? Turn on IR search lights and use NVGs! But wait...they can see your IR Searchlights if they have NVGs too. To use or not to use....decisions decisions.

Maybe in your initial encounter you pop a flare, so incase they are using NVG's you can make their screen go white and blind them for ~20-30s or so? But if they aren't using NVG's, then you would spot yourself out to everyone nearby and reduce your own night time visibility!

Night vision devices were being fieldtested/thrown in service in the last year of the 2nd world war iirc. Not sure what you are facepalming about. Not to mention top tanks are extending well into the 50's atm.

It appears I'm wrong and they got introduced even earlier:

Edit: Trying to a find a more credible source

Ya. What do you think that "search light" is at above and to the right of the main gun on the T-62? It's an IR Illuminator. And with equipment to see in the IR Spectrum, you can pretty much see in the dark. It's called active night vision. The Vampir (German NV in WWII) was based on this principal.

Only later did passive NV come into effect, but that is mostly after the timeline in WoT.

Thats funny because the bat is in no way better than the patton in its current form.7.2 bat? Maybe. These days the patton is much better imho.

Nah they pretty equal. Depends fight and map, some maps batchat is LOT better than patton. Like some new attack maps where its really good to use batchats excellent speed to run under edge near opponents, nuke then from side and then later run in and kill their arty. Also any fight where situtaion develops to med or long range sniping batchat is lot better because of its gun better accuracy.

So are 1390s...best tank overall in this game...

Pros don't get hit even when in HVYs. Terrain contours make solid armour I've noticed.
