Yesterday was boring, Today will probably also be boring.
Today marks the last Monday I'll be going in to this particular job. Feels strange man. Have lunch at nice place scheduled with one of the coworkers I'll really miss.
Will undoubtedly spend today ranting at new system we're now obliged to use. It sucks. The other system sucks as well. I feel a lovely rant coming on..
PS Went to see Lord of the Rings Live - The Two Towers yesterday. Was awes.

Work today is likely to be busy since everyone is back from holidays and I didn't do much last week. Hopefully the rest of the week will be quiet.
Leaving Bath for the summer on Thursday. Hoping the mail office is still open, since I've got some moving boxes coming in the next day or two so I can pack up my room. If not, I think I'm slightly screwed. Spending 10 days in Wales, before heading up to see the bf in Lincoln for three weeks and then I'm back down south to visit a few mates in London. Over to Switzerland for a month to see the parents and then back to the UK for two days, off to Amsterdam for five and then moving into a new house for our second year of university. Still haven't booked any train journeys or the flight to Switzerland. Will probably try to get all that sorted today.
For some odd reason, I've gone off smoking weed. I've gone off smoking cigarettes too, now only smoking maybe 3-4 a day (I roll my own and use extra slim filters, so it really isn't much at all) and only when I'm invited to by Perry. I think it all started during the Jubilee weekend. I had run out of baccy on the Friday evening, so planned on picking some up on the Saturday, but the shop on campus was closed from Saturday to Tuesday and I couldn't be bothered to go to town. Since then, the desire for cigarettes and weed have kinda gone.
Problem is that the circle of friends that still remain on campus all look to me for weed and they're bugging me for it. Josh got back last night, but is being a dick. He had been wearing the same clothes for two days so Perry and Sam told him that he smelt. Course, Josh being the paranoid guy he is, particularly since being off his anti-depressants, thought they were referring to the fact that he shits into a bag and took it personally and now refuses to even acknowledge Sam and Perry exist. I've spent the last week hanging out with Perry, since 99% of the students on campus have gone home. Now Josh arrives and starts trying to tear me away from Perry to get high with him, but getting high with Josh is a fucking chore because he chats so much shit. Can't wait for Lincoln. Nothing beats getting high with the bf.
It's quite odd, actually; when we started looking at a group to form a flat with, we had only known each other for about two months, though in Josh and Jordans' cases, I had only known them about a week. I still don't really know Jordan at all, since he tends to keep to himself. He's a short, fat, Welsh gay guy with thinning hair, a fear of soup and gets really really defensive when you call him a pedophile. His humour is quite dry, which doesn't really work well with my provocative, cynical and inappropriate sense of humour, so conversations between the two of rarely last longer than a few seconds. But back to the flat group as a whole.
We thought we knew each other quite well, which was pretty foolish, since it takes more than two months to get to know someone fully. Even after 6-8 months, I would still say that I barely know them at all. What seemed like a group of pretty chill people has turned out to be a selection of the most fucked up individuals I've ever encountered.
- Perry suffers insomnia, gets through a bottle of vodka every third day and will chain smoke a 25g pouch of baccy in two. He claims he can't sleep without the sound of his computer and PS3 constantly humming in the background, and the glow of his three monitors illuminating the room. My theory is that, because he never turns them off, the distraction of all three keeps him from going to sleep. He doesn't really smoke weed, but does not stop talking about MCAT, MDMA, AMT (why ever did I introduce them to AMT...) and whatever other drug pops into his head. He's also a whiney spoilt brat, who will complain for weeks if something doesn't go his way and has a tendency to ruin nights out with his persistent badgering about how 'the club is shit because I can't get laid'. And he's a slob.
- Josh has some intestine problems so now shits into a bag and suffers depression. He's decided to stop taking his anti-depressants lately because they can react badly with MDMA, which he likes to take. He's been meaning to see his doctor to get switched onto another anti-depressant, which doesn't conflict with his recreational drug habit, but still hasn't after about two months. Everyone can see that he's been really down lately and we have considered doing an intervention on him, but he'll be off home in a few days and we won't see him for the entire summer, so there's no way we'll be able to monitor his progress. He used to be a really chill guy to have a joint with, but now he spends his time browsing /r/trees, going on and on and on about how he's such an epic stoner and ... well ... all he ever wants to do is get high and it does my head in.
Well I guess it isn't that bad actually. Jordan keeps to himself so I'm sure he'll be fine, although he's indicated that he might have a problem with us cooking and eating soup next year. I, personally, love soup. It's easy and fun to make and really helps brighten up a cold, wet and windy winter's day, in my eyes. Sam is a great guy too, despite suffering from schizophrenia, though apparently the medication he's on controls it and he hasn't had an episode in about three years. He's sensible and mature and the perfect guy to live with.
But Josh and Perry? Living together next year is going to be an absolute nightmare. My parents offered to buy me a flat in Bath, treating it like an investment, while providing somewhere suitable for me to continue my studies, but I turned them down in favour of living with friends. I don't regret my decision yet, but I won't be surprised if I end up regretting it later.
Meh. I'm splurging.
Back to the cigarettes and weed thing, Perry, Josh and Alex (not the German one ... this one is a cool one) want to get more weed, but, because I'm the one with the dealers, they need me to get it for them. But I don't want to get high. I've got a lot of stuff to do over the next few days, both before I leave and in preparation for the summer, and I really can't be wasting days getting high. I'll probably call Brad and tell them that Josh will be the one making the pick up, seeing as Josh has been there several times. If he gives me his 'I don't remember where it is' BS again, I'll tell him to try going four days without a joint as an alternative.
FUCK. And Alex (the German this time) stole my fucking fish fingers. I went into his room a few days ago and he had a box of fish fingers on his shelf, open and half empty, but they were still frozen. He told me that Valerie had given them to him and he was going to eat them for dinner later, but that didn't make sense, seeing as Valerie had left three days earlier. If she had given them to him when she left, they would have thawed out by now. And if he was planning on eating them for dinner, several hours later, why would he take them out now? Course, this didn't click until the next day, after he'd gone, when I opened the freezer to find that my fish fingers were gone. Sent Val a txt to see if she'd actually given them to him, but she didn't know anything about them. I had 8 fish fingers, a pack of wafer thin ham, two tins of tuna, two tins of chopped tomatoes and some pasta to last me a week. Now, two meals worth of food are gone, so I'm going to have to go shopping, because of that lying piece of shit German cunt. So fucking happy we kicked him out of our flat group.
