Every fight before the last one is pure solo, no links, implants, scouts etc. The last fight... well it isn't [], you'll see.

I got a bunch of good fights over the past month or two, so I wanted to compile something. Really been loving the game for solo recently, and this video is a reflection of that. My apologies for the graphics quality, eve keeps getting prettier but my computer doesn't [ops].

Loved the video, but I'm curious as to why you chose an LSE rather than an invuln on your XLASB cane - the little bit of extra buffer doesn't seem to outweigh the lower fitting requirements + better shield boosting from the invuln. Was it just for the completely capless tank?

Yeah mostly it's the capless thing. Like in the first fight that moa happened to have 2 med neuts - if i had an invuln it would have been shut off midway through the fight and i would have died earlier. It's also quite good at killing other hurricanes so i'm expecting to see a lot of neuts.

Also the booster tanks such high dps when active already that it doesn't really need to tank more to keep me alive. Of course an invuln would increase efficiency of the booster ultimately, but i decided the capless thing is more important... there's lots of variations on the fit though and i havent tried all of them (could maybe squeeze a nos in the last high with an invuln?)

The vid's great, but I have to say I fail to see the awesome in the last fight (and think it's right to go after the credits), because after a couple of seconds you see you can tank it on 1 booster (thus <3000dps incoming max and it's really a fraction of that) so you'll have time to reload the other, and then it's down to 2 Mael's dps vs guardian reps and what you can break & when to leave. Granted you then manage to hit Reload All with the partially used booster stopped, but apart from that you're mostly fine for the micromanagement.
Also, do the blue pills even do anything for ASBs?

I don't want to detract from the prior solo stuff, that's top notch. Just the end seemed to be an exercise in the result of great scouting and Crystal'd Tengu'd Maelstroms being so powerful they can run 2 tackle mods, drop a gun, and get by with half their rep going at a time. It pisses all over a similar priced armour setup except for buffer because it isn't balanced for shit.

P.S. Did anyone else find the sound/volume's about double what it needs to be? Compared to some other vids and DVDs I watched (your podcasts too iirc) I had to set VLC to 50% to normalise this.

I actually completely agree with you and was hesitant to put the fight in at all, but did so because people really enjoyed it (hence the after-the-credits). And the whole point is to tank on 1 booster, but regardless was still ovetanked for the fight, and did have some micromanagement fails, partly because its just so bizarre to boost only once every 5 seconds for 15 minutes on end lol. (and yes, blue pills do after the last patch). sorry about the volume!

nice vid, why cant I ever get a fight like the last one in my mael (
