A little derpy moment here. I applied for a Masters degree in 4 universities in Germany. Yesterday I received an answer from Uni A, im good to go and I have time to haul my ass there and bring some documents till 1st October. Uni B send me a "yeah nice picture and all, we like you and your documents are OK - have a nice time waiting for a confirmation if you are getting a place or not" (they apply Numerus clausus too and it seems they are a little slow). Uni C is where I originally wanted to go to but I was kinda disappointed when I was there last summer (for one semester). Uni D is in the same city as Uni A, maybe a little bit better. I'll wait to see if I'll receive something from them.
Meanwhile ... earlier today a girl that applied in the same universities called me to inform me that she was accepted at Uni A. She was really happy, I was really happy too. We discussed if we should wait for a little longer (for an answer from Uni D) or confirm/apply immediately. We will wait till next week. Im not sure why but im a little worried about how happy she was when she found out that we are going to study in the same city (if not the same university). I dont want to talk about why from fear that some people here will remember who she is and jump on my throat.

But I cant lie, I'm happy that there will be someone with me. Studying far from home alone is hard. Yeah I can find new friends blah blah etc but I tried it last summer (I was with a colleague of mine) and it was horrible (at times) after the 2nd month. And this time it wont be during the summer, november is the worst possible time of the year. So yeah I am happy about this but I also know that it might be a ~problem at some point. But hey maybe I wont start thinking with my dick again.

Anyway, I get what you're saying but moving somewhere entirely new alone can be good too. I've basically upped sticks and all but moved to Canada entirely alone, and I'm having a blast. Just a matter of getting out there and pushing your comfort zone.
Either way I could care less, if you get some sex then awesome, but make sure you prioritize correctly
