Between the terrible 4pc bonus, the terrible itemization on the set (2 crit/mp5 items, no mp5/haste) and on most level 277 drops, the weapon situation, the bad libram and the terrible trinkets, someone at Blizzard seemed to actively hold paladin healers back in that tier.
And then they decided to fuck holy paladins over again in T11 with weapon drops (but then again that's the same people who came up with putting the only epic caster wand in as a trash drop, without heroic upgrade, in a raid with like 20 trash mobs total)![]()

Wednesdays are a pain for me because it's my fencing night (i'm a rogue irl) but literally every other night is cool.

No, some retri healing ability scaled ridiculously from buffs. Happened with us too when we had heroic Valithria in farm. I thing it was something about retri getting spellpower from attack power, and being able to make really big heals with some spesific ability. Or something.

It had to do with a talent that Ret palas had back in WotLK which gave their heals a HoT based on the heal they did. The reason it was so OP was because it double dipped from the Valithria green portal buffs (which gave a ridiculous amount of +to healing)
So it worked kind of like this (made up numbers):
Normal Heal spell: 10k heal. Normal HoT: 3k over x seconds
Heal with 100% buff: 20k heal. HoT with 100% buff 12k over x seconds
Considering the amount of +healing you could get on the fight, the HoT was amazing (over 100k ticks were not uncommon), and their Judgement talent gave them infinity mana for the entire fight.
E: after checking numbers, it was actually a HoT of 60% of the initial heal over 12 seconds
So 10k heal would become 6k HoT over 12,
100% buff, 20k heal, 24k HoT.
200% buff, 30k heal, 54k HoT, and so on
Also Retribution could have 2 Avenging Wraths in the fight due to one of their talents, compared to Holy 1.
Holy had the same double dipping mechanics via beacon, sacred shield and HL splash, another two (with 2pc T10) throughput buffs instead of just AW, holy light healbombs and equally infinite mana. Obviously not a lot of people specifically geared for Valithria, but I never saw a holy paladin with a basic throughput setup being outhealed on that fight, ever. Not by other healers, not by ret paladins.
If you let the ret hoover up most of the red debuff orbs, however...
Think we'll start with sundays then and see about sorting a weekday that suits most people, I won't be around this sunday though I'm off to Cornwall.
If you were a superhero you'd be The Incredible Fucktard with your ever-ready sidekick Douchetard Boy. Together, you fight intelligence and common sense where you go.
Sundays are good for me.
BTW the weather down here in Cornwall is as shit as it is everywhere else in the UK atm so I hope you have a lot of indoor activities planned if you're here for a weekend break. My surfer friends inform me that the surf is currently pretty good though so you're in luck if that's your thing.
If you ignore the rules people will, half the time, quietly rewrite them so they don't apply to you.
