Surprised no thread for this but the best international football tournament kicks off in the next couple of hours.
This year the tournament is in Poland and the Ukraine so some potential for /racism apparently.
Favourites seem to be Spain and Germany with the Dutch in the mix as well. England are supposed to be terrible!
First game is Poland vs Greece kicking off at 18:00 CET with Russia vs Czech Republic from 20:45 CET.
Is there any good streams for an American with soccer hating television?

Apparently the racism stuff already started. The Dutch team (during a practice session) was treated to what is euphemistically called "jungle sounds" here.. which, according to Polish supporters, isn't racist.
No clue who'll win. The Dutch very rarely do, curious to see what we'll do this year. The world championship was not a disappointment in the sense that we made it to the finals, but it was in the sense that we played dirty ball. May the best team win!

Spain or the Dutch for this one I think - more so the Dutch if Van Persie stays fit. English football is in a shocking state at the minute. Our best chance for a trophy win was 1996-2000 period - no where near that standard now.
It's easy to make a prediction involving Spain, Netherlands or Germany, so my prediction is that Russia will get to at least the semis.

Watching it on Setanta sports down here in Australia and Didi Hamman is one of the pundits and he has an eye twitch, its fascinating.
I can assure you that everyone over here will be ecstatic if England do as well as reaching the semis (apart from the Redknapp-supporting press). Most of us will be more than happy with second place in the group.
