Holy shit, for an insane blood-sucking abomination, Russell Edgington is way too awesome.

    True that.

As for the ever-so-shocking turn of events, am I right in thinking that
      Spoiler:
Salome was just a red herring and the tech support girl is the sanguinista? Or is this me being Captain Obvious?

The techie girl does funny things to my penis.

Also Russell in being awesome non-shock, still awesome. That douche in the tight nike shirt was seriously getting on my nerves.

Is my decision to stop at season 2 the right choice or should I check out some of the others?

You want to talk :twist: :

      Spoiler:

Didn't expect Guardian to get offed. Then again Meloni is practically a TV-series version of Sean Bean, he's a walking two legged spoiler too. Except for SVU, his portrayals don't end well. Keller in Oz died, for example.

Something is clearly wrong with me as I've never stopped liking this show. However, I do think they have this season is better than the last two. It might be worth checking out. You don't really have to catch up or anything as the story doesn't matter that much.

The story doesn't matter? That's rather disappointing actually. I'll check out the series when it becomes dirt cheap and I'm bored in 10 or 20 years.

I don't remember what season has what but I do know I became disillusioned after the maynad shit but decided to keep going, has been much better since aside from occasional boring shit spread fairly evenly. They are many crowning moments of awesome, worth it to watch imo if you're in the mood for TV and don't have something you know is better.

Sign me up for the something is clearly wrong with me club too, I quite like True blood. Admittely I am fairly easily amused when it comes to TV programs and True blood just works for me.

+1 on Russell being a badass

      Spoiler:
wtf @ Sookie/Jason and the massive light show when sookie tried to use her microwave fingers

guna have to watch the latest episode again to avoid confusing myself

I do like the constant cliff hangers at the end of every episode, means I am waiting for the next one...

Powered through the eps of season 5 that are out so far, really enjoyed it after giving up on it somewhere around S2.

Yes, its (mainly) about vampires, theres a lot of highpowered slaughter going on, and the emo bullshit (Hoyt, Tara, Sam) is so over the top that its just hilarious.

Latest ep best closing words ever.

      Spoiler:
My thinking still is that Salome played the Nike shirt guy, Russel obviously didnt exactly collude with her but shes using him like an ICBM.
The title "guardian" is a bit irritating. Guardian of what, the vial of blood? Or is there another league of super old vamps in hibernation that the current authority is guarding? Would be a bit disappointing if the authority ends up being just another bunch of cunts that cant find their own ass without a map, im hoping for some other players that are more like Russel.

I'm not even that easily amused with TV shows; my tastes are more or less in line with standard TV critic favorite and most hated shows (Stuff like Parks & Recreation and Breaking Bad versus The Big Bang Theory and NCIS). But with True Blood, I don't really go into it expecting something great and moving. It's a funny show about vampires, faeries, werewolves, and white trash, and it has ample sex and violence. That's more than enough for me. Plus, it's hilarious that Anna Paquin is an Oscar winning actress who has clearly given up on doing anything else close to that caliber of performance again. If I won an award that prestigious, I'd probably do whatever the fuck I wanted afterwards too.

I have only seen her in X-Men.
Clearly she couldn't win an oscar for that, right?

Also she gets awards for true blood /0\
