Minmatar V3 and Ship Customisation Confirmed

A large selection of Minmatar ships are in the latest chaos dev build if anyone can be bothered to look.

Art Presentation

The Art department made a presentation on the recent work that they have been doing, and what they will be working on in the near future, including new ship destruction effects, ship redesigns, new ships, ship appearance customization, and more.

The new .black files for ship design information did look suspiciously like a step towards this. Good news, I hope they do it right and its not just logos

They will look heaps better with the correct direct X shaders applied to them (neither my images nor Samariko's use the ingame shaders) and the correct fresnal effects. The game shaders are actually really good at turning the low quality textures into something nice... except when the ships reach capital size then they fail completely

V3'd Minmatar Cruisers, Frigates and Industrials now available on the latest dev build.
Sarmatiko ‏has just informed me that the .red file format (tells the eve client how to rasterise ships and what colours and textures to use) are gone completely, and .black have replaced them.

most of the time the patch itself is public on the content.eveonline.com domain you just have to get the correct link :S

no webexpert here so idk if you can scrape for files on that domain or something like that

Its pretty easy tbh (although I had to get Sarmatiko ‏to tell me lol). Just copy your current sisi build into a new folder, rename to Chaos and then make a shortcut with the following link:

C:\CCP\Chaos\eve.exe /server:Chaos

Once the client is updated to the Chaos build you can pilfer said client files.
