besides the obvious that will do well (PL & DS), teams with potential to do well depending on the amount of practice and non-retarded theorycrafting they do:
verge of collapse (volta + E-R, the most potential of all the "unknown" teams - I have big hopes for these dudes even though Gibbo is a massive fucking faggot)
rote kapelle (faggots)
black legion (faggots lite)
exodus (actually fairly active low amount PvP'ers, but I am not sure they can field 24 people reliably for practices - I expect them to go through the 6s quite easily)
team liquid
no holes barred (eXceed might surprise, but I doubt it)
Goons & TEST actually started practicing really early together, but they are just all so bad that it's hard to take it seriously - could surprise since I am sure with thousands of players some of them must be decent
but yes, the number of actual competitive teams in the tournament has pretty much gone from 4 to 2 with the removal of Hydra & OB
