Does Mille's Afterski count? Used by Birgirpall in one of his BF3 videos it is hilariously sweet and 80's-sounding. I thoroughly recommend Mille's Crysteena as well though it is not very 80's-sounding.

Nice song, although the constant volume changes gets old quick outisde of a club. Didn't know about Mille, will look into more of his stuff, thanks for posting!

I have seen New Order in concert twice and nearly twenty years apart. Apart form two new albums little had changed (chick keyboard player had left and was replaced by computers) and both times they spent half the concert struggling with all the electronics.

By struggling, do you mean having issues with them?

By the way, the "chick keyboard player" is back and the original bass player left and was replaced in 2009.

It was Sumner arguing with the guy off stage that the levels were wrong, which was true as you couldn't hear the vocals, and constantly fiddling with stuff on the rack.. Put it down to the venue being crap at setting up of electronic gigs.

Don you really made me hunt down who it was that brought Kraftwerk's Computer Love sample into the 90's. It was Coldplay. I could've sworn it was Tiesto or someone.

Currently wondering whether Mille's songs classify as retro enough (it's all very 'bit'-y though), so at risk of lynching

You should have asked! There's even a cool story about it. Coldplay's lawyers sent a long and detailed letter about what part of the song they would use, what kind of deal they'd like, etc. Kraftwerk responded with "yes". No conditions, no due, nothing. Just to go ahead and have fun with it.

EDIT: I could have sworn I posted that 8bit Avicii-Mario song somewhere in this thread!
