Fired it up for a quick test.
Game does look better, runs smoother.

They nerfed clothing attachments. Now I can't have 4 armadillos in everything :/
Oh well, I had more armor then Panam's tank.

Also about time we could upgrade housing. Tired of that dump. Tho I see no garage for my 30+ cars.
Why is it called earth, when it is mostly water???

I think they may have changed the lighting so stuff such as neon lighting and ad screens "pop" more? Felt like it to me but may just have been the area I was in. I only checked the patch out for five minutes yesterday but was amused that there are now speeding NPCs.
I think there's a noticeable upgrade to the DLSS in use, I noticed significantly less ghosting esp. with some of the worst offenders like car tail lights. That'd have a knock-on effect on p. much the rest of the game's visuals.

Thermal mantis blades are obnoxiously glowy, though I am still using a reshade pack which might affect that ~

This patch is the first time I have problems with the game.

I can only start it once, after that it crashes when I start it.
Solution, reinstall it so I can play it once more.

Wait, are you launching the game multiple times per day?

I was somewhere around Old Man Star, on the edge of Essence, when drugs began to take hold.

    The patch broke my ReShade

Haven't spent any time with the new content yet, but picking up a chainsword and kicking the motor on for the first time brought a silly grin to my face.

It was just 3 new gigs. I did finish the last mission on my second play through.
How this patch actually brought me issues.
Unable to run, unless I use a weapon to fire first.
Sometimes the HUD from my smart pistol gets stuck.
And finally, it once fucked up the settings on my soundcard. Just killed left speakers in windows settings.

At least I got a happy ending this time, got a soulcrushing end on my first one.

Cyberpunk endings sort of come in two stages, how you deal with Arasaka, and what choice you make with Alt and Johnny.

    If you take Hanako's offer,
      Spoiler:
no one dies and you end up on the space station where they try to fix you. There are actually several outcomes here, if you follow the prompts where V starts getting more and more agitated you basically get the worst end imo, but if you actually follow all of the doctor's instructions V solves the half rubik's cube at the end and you're fine (though you still only have half a year to live). In either case you can just go back to Earth at that point (staring out the window into space), or go for the Secure Your Soul option, which, how you feel about that is up to you really.

If you go with the Aldecaldos (widely considered to be the Best End),
      Spoiler:
Saul is guaranteed to die but you join the family and leave Night City with them once you're done with Mikoshi. If you're a femV and romanced Judy this is the way to get her to come with you that isn't also depressing. Obviously this is also best end if you're broV and romanced Panam.

If you let Johnny go with Rogue,
      Spoiler:
Rogue is guaranteed to die, and you basically take her place as the top merc/fixer at the Afterlife. If you're femV and romanced Judy, she breaks up with you after a timeskip, otherwise this ends with you going back into space to do some kind of job on the casino station at the behest of Mr. Blue Eyes who fun fact is watching you when you talk to Jefferson Peralez at Reconciliation Park but can't be shot or harmed because CDPR got lazy with that little plot point, and is heavily implied to actually just be a proxy for one of the AI's past the blackwall. Again, up to you if that counts as a "good" end or not, in my book that's a bad one.

If you do the cool thing and go with Johnny solo,
      Spoiler:
no one else dies but you get the same ending as the one above. However you only get one chance to do it, and if you die you don't restart it's just Game Over and everyone you knew who talks to you during the credits is like "you idiot, wtf were you thinking goddamn." I count that as a Bad End.

No matter which route you take to Mikoshi, you can obviously choose to keep your body or let Johnny have it. Keeping it gets you one of the above, letting him have it
      Spoiler:
is actually my second favorite end, it's very bittersweet and it's clear that Johnny is a significantly changed man thanks to V. I don't want to dump the details here because you really should play through it once if you haven't at all.

I've never been tempted to romance Kerry as either V so idk how he'd fit into the above scenarios.

It's no Akira or GitS but it's not bad either judging by the first 3 episodes I have seen.

No, you get to enjoy Giancarlo Esposito. For me dubbed is better.

I'm not sure the word dubbed is appropriate here. I mean, it's basically a Polish anime.

Japanese studio made something for Western audiences. I'd say that the English version is the main version, or it is on the same level as the Japanese version. Looking at the actors for the English dub I'd skew towards the former. Edit: Just looked at who the Japanese voice actors are. Sounds like quite the cast as well.

Following episodes are getting better. I have a problem with animation quality, screenplay being rushed to go through the beats without proper development. But that's more of current day anime vs late 80,90s discussion and not particularly aimed at the show itself.
